Today we’d like to introduce you to Ja’Darius Winslow
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Since a child I’ve been inspired and motivated by the sound and visuals of music. I always loved to write essays as a child and eventually it turned into raps. I loved to watch the entertainment on 106 and park , and MTV the cars , money and flashiness had me intrigued. My mother played a huge role in my career we started a label together known as 61Ent. I’ve always visited Atlanta and made connections because I felt the love there they show genuine support to artists. A few years later I met Ceodollasign at Aces & he took a liking in to my music & we partnered up. My first roll out I was in the same rooms as big name artists like Future & Trouble. If an artist you should get next to a guy like him he works very hard for his clients. Hard work and consistent got me where I am today I know more people than I ever have and more people know me. I’m grateful for it all I Thank God for keeping me in his favor
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being consistent is the hardest thing but it is the key to success as an artist and anything else you’re pursuing in life. I’ve been through artist development and I have to tell you it wasn’t a cake walk. Not being able to drop music was very frustrating but I had to get my business together and the right plan to be able to fully execute.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m most proud of me feeling like giving up but I didn’t . Why give up today when the next day I could possibly win. I came too far to stop. The thing that sets me apart from others is I’m very versatile I feel there is nothing I can’t do musically. I’m mainly a hiphop / rap artist but you could possibly hear a country or southern soul song from me im just that good
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Think and Grow Rich is a great book to read it helps you learn about financial stability and the steps to building wealth and I love the Art of war
