Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaida Henley.
Hi Jaida, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in the suburbs—Villa Rica, GA—with a lot of energy and a vision I couldn’t quite understand. Gravitating toward cameras at a young age, my entire life has revolved around media. At first, it was photography and modeling. Then it turned into uploading singing videos to YouTube and eventually becoming a social media influencer during the early waves of social media.
I’ve used most social platforms since they first launched, which means I’ve learned a lot about algorithms—social media has basically become a second language to me. I launched my first business at 16, and I’m now located in Los Angeles, pursuing my brand as a singer and actress. Call me a woman of many hats—and personally, I love it, because they all intertwine.
My end goal is to combine my love for singing and acting by performing at sold-out tour dates all around the world. If that doesn’t work out, then I’ll need to end up as one of those wildly successful real estate gurus who gets paid to look pretty and make money on HGTV. Yeah, that sounds pretty fun to me.
As of now, I’m entirely independent and growing my fan base on my own. I have over 65K fans and counting.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, I’m a young woman chasing a vision no one else can quite see like I can. I have so many ambitions and passions that I often struggle with being consistent in all aspects of my life. I’m learning that consistency is the key to accomplishing anything. By being consistent, you build muscle memory and habit—and suddenly, it becomes part of your routine.
Unfortunately, I’ve been diagnosed with moderate depression and severe anxiety since I was a kid. When I get waves of depression, I isolate and shut down. It’s almost paralytic. My house gets messy, I struggle to walk my dog, and sometimes I even break my own heart by sinking deeper into my problems. I hate it because I always feel guilty for breaking my consistency and having to start over every single time a wave hits.
In no way am I disabled or excusing my lack of motivation—but it is a genetic disorder I’ve had to learn to live with, and I’m still learning how to cope. The highs are high, and the lows are low. A lot of the time, I wish I had more mentorship—but wishes don’t mean anything compared to intentionality. So, I’ll keep moving with intention until I’m surrounded by a community that motivates me every day to evolve the mission, instead of letting myself get beat down.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have such a large impact that society hasn’t experienced yet. I already know deep down that my soul purpose is to remind others of theirs. To inspire others to pick themselves up and strive towards whatever life they’re attracted to. It’s referred to as quantum leaping but I always saw it as “you’re only a few decisions away from an entirely different life.” So I try to figure out to live my best life and while I do that I aspire to inspire others that I meet along the way. What sets me apart is my ambition to succeed. I am so hungry for the life I want.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Qualities that will make me successful is my networking skills, burning passion to succeed, and a never ending desire to learn more from the world. I also move intentionally on growing throughout my life. I’m not perfect but I won’t stop until I end up where I want to be.
