Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalen Nelson.
Hi Jalen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started in the Fashion industry about seven years ago. I really had no clue about fashion and how to dominate it until my dad solidified it for me. He put me onto fashion which made me become interested into it. I took that and made it an entire brand. I started off as a stylist for a few years, I styled a lot of people within my city and styling was incredible for me. I then pivoted into content creating this year which blew up my social media. I went from 60k to 111k in a span of a few months. Ended up on blog pages, landed a spot on Tv and so much more! How I got to where I am today was just by shifting my mindset and understanding I wanted a better life for me. For so long, I didn’t get to experience life, I am now able to do that with consistency, hard work and dedication.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely was not a smooth road at all. I used to live paycheque to paycheque and I was seriously depressed. Even though I was struggling, the determination kept me going! I knew there was something better and I knew I had to be patient. Sometimes we have to go through these things because God wants us to experience it as later on life it will become your testimony you share to others. I was not happy but I kept going, I knew it was coming, I just didn’t know when.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Fashion content creator and a Marketing Mentor. I create a lot of cool video’s when it comes to clothing and do it for a lot of brands as well. I’ve worked with McDonald’s, Febreeze, Taco Bell, Fashion Nova, Popeye’s and more!! I also teach my supporters how to grow their platform and make income from their social media. I’ve helped people gain extreme revenue in their business which is incredible to see. The thing that separates me from others is my creativity for sure! I’m in a lane of my own and that’s the biggest thing. I don’t try to be like others or do what others are doing, I do my own thing and excel in that. What I’m most proud of is that I’m able to finally be in a position where I can give back and help others through God. For so long, I didn’t have it and now that I do, I give back to my supporters and help them with their businesses.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
The one thing I would like to share is to just be patient and keep going even when you don’t see anything. For ten years, I didn’t see over four figures in my account and now I see almost six. God can turn your struggle into passion which then leads to success, you just have to trust him and have faith. Keep going, I promise you, your life will change.
