Hi Jasmine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Cumberland County native. Yes! I’m a true country girl, however I always loved the big city and night lights! I’m a professional traveling makeup artist with over six years of experience in makeup artistry. Specializing in natural glams for the everyday look, photoshoots, magazines, TV & Film. What made me fall in love with makeup is the creativity that stems from it and me being able to express myself through my work! What a lot of people don’t know about me is that before the “makeup” girl, I had an intensive background in healthcare management. I also graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in HCM the year of 2015. My passion for beauty blessed me to leave my full-time job in the year of 2019 & take off soaring the beauty industry to see what else it had to offer me!
My passion is truly beauty & makeup! Over the years, I’ve been blessed enough to travel and meet some talented people who has been able to lead me to many life-changing opportunities. Since I’m a traveling artist, I’m always back and forth from Virginia and Atlanta. My prime location is stationed in Dillwyn, Virginia and I travel to Atlanta, Georgia (second location) to service my clientele there as well. On top of that, I own my very own cosmetics line (J’Dior Beauty Cosmetics) which offers vegan & cruelty-free makeup products! Our main product & best seller is lip gloss; however we have a variety of other makeup products that we sell as well.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not, just because I’m from a very small town where we have no stoplights. The goal of coming a full-time makeup artist isn’t something that people take seriously here at all. So I really had to reach out to so many people in different states where I knew beauty was a thing which is what brought me to Atlanta. Some of the struggles were getting people to take me seriously, building up my professional portfolio, & just getting a response back from some people. At that point, I decided to invest in myself with classes which helped me build bonds with other fellow MUAs and to properly showcase my improved work to help engage with my audience.

I’m a full-time professional makeup artist- I specialize in makeup & beauty. My specialty is definitely the soft natural glam for the everyday look with a pop just to allow my girls to enhance their natural beauty. However, I’m a diverse artist as well & love that I can adapt to any setting and project.
I would have to say I’m most proud of my growth & my strength that kept me going even when I couldn’t see how my makeup artistry career would play out. Though I’m nowhere near my ending destination, I’ve come so very far with my career & I’m so proud of myself for knocking down those barriers.
I would say something that sets me apart from others would be I never box myself into doing what I know I do very well. I love to shock myself & others with a Challenge and tackle it!
