Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayla Campbell.
Hi Jayla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up as an only child I spent a lot of time with my parents, and with that, I became very mature at a young age. I learned a lot and became more spiritually and mentally aware than my peers. So I always wanted to have my own business cause I wanted to be my own boss, express my own creativity, and have control. In elementary school, I used to sell Oribeez the little colorful beads that expand when you put them in water in a water bottle to my classmates. In high school, I created custom shoes and other items. So, being creative in my younger years and selling items is why I am the entrepreneur I am today.
My passion for real estate originated from my love of houses. I started my career in real estate as an administrative assistant for Achieve Realty for one year before becoming a licensed realtor in the state of Louisiana. After closing four houses in real estate in the state of Louisiana, I transitioned my career to the state of Georgia with The Cole Realty Group in Atlanta. I sold my first house in Georgia one month after moving into my apartment, thus closing on $1 million in real estate at the age of 21 in the year 2022.
Along with my passion for real estate, I am also passionate about Home Decor & Art stemming from the creative and entrepreneurial spirit I’ve had since my grade school years.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Though I’ve always known the direction that I’m going, it hasn’t been exactly smooth for me emotionally. Again coming from being an only child I was aware but I was sheltered in a way. I was extremely shy and being in real estate you can’t be shy because you have to talk to people and guide them through the biggest purchase of their lives. So, I struggle with my anxiety and the pressure of living up to this high standard that I put myself on.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a real estate professional but I am also a creator and artist. As much as I love houses and guiding people through the process of buying their homes. I love creating rather that is through my social media content or my home decor. I’m mainly known for my social media content and for being really creative. Which I am really proud of, my ability to create something from just a simple thought or idea and bring it to life.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Good luck has played a big part in my life and business. But, I don’t think of it as luck because everything is always working out no matter what because my life is as it should and everything happens for me and not to me.
