Hi Jemarie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Recently, my sister shared an intriguing Instagram post featuring a mobile cart, which ignited a wave of inspiration within me. As a seasoned wedding and event designer and planner, I have always thrived in the hospitality industry. This innovative concept has opened the door to an exciting new avenue that I am eager to explore.

The idea of creating my own mobile cart aligns seamlessly with my professional background. With years of experience orchestrating memorable events, I have developed a keen understanding of guest experiences and the importance of aligning every detail with a client’s vision. This new venture presents an opportunity to integrate my expertise in event planning with a fresh and innovative approach to service delivery.

I envision the mobile cart as a platform that not only offers convenience but also enhances the overall experience for guests. It allows me to bring my passion for hospitality into a dynamic and accessible format, catering to various events and settings. Through this initiative, I aim to create unique experiences that leave a lasting impression on attendees.

As I embark on this journey, I am excited about the potential it holds for expanding my brand and reaching new audiences. I look forward to sharing my progress, challenges, and triumphs with the community. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest challenge today is navigating inflation, which affects both my charcuterie and event design businesses. Rising costs for quality ingredients and materials have made it difficult to maintain pricing while ensuring exceptional quality. This has pushed me to get creative with sourcing and budgeting, but I’m committed to delivering the best experiences for my clients despite these hurdles.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am recognized for my innovative approach to wedding and event design as the owner of Jemarie Thomas Event Designs, based in Atlanta. My passion for the hospitality industry drives my commitment to transforming clients’ ideas and visions into reality through the art of event design. I believe what sets me apart from most is I specialize in curating luxury experiences for all clients, regardless of budget, because I believe everyone deserves the wedding or event of their dreams.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I envision the exciting possibility of opening a restaurant and/or bed and breakfast under the Oliver and Banks brand.
