Check Out Jeremiah Clark’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremiah Clark aka hajeyy.

Hi hajeyy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and started making music at 13 years old. I’ve often been compared to artists such as BabySantana, Katozai, Lil Tecca, and others with similar melodic sounds. I’d say I’m versatile; not only putting out relatable “sad/heartbreak” music, but also doing other genres such as plugg, pluggnb, sad rap, drill, etc.

I’m mostly known now from my TikTok fan base while promoting my music on there. Right now, I’m 15 and sitting at 70k all-time on SoundCloud, 400 monthly listeners on Spotify, and 40k all-time apple music and it’s still growing.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely hasn’t been easy. I took a year break in 2020, came back in 2021 with an album that pretty much flopped, and my voice was changing. I couldn’t do the type of music I wanted to anymore, so that made me not want to do music at all. I would constantly take breaks until I created a good song. I would drop it and finally found my newer sound.

Sometimes it’s hard to stay focused when I don’t get as much support as I want, but I know I’m talented so I just keep going.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I strive to be unique. With the underground being the way it is with everyone basically sounding the same, I try to find ways to stick out.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I pretty much did it all myself. I had my old friend help me with recording at home because I couldn’t go to studios when I was younger. Other than that, I’ve been doing everything myself…promo, gaining a following, writing lyrics, pics/videos, posting my music on streaming sites, etc.
