Check Out Jesse La Flair’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesse La Flair.

Hi Jesse, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It’s been a wild, unpredictable, and incredibly fulfilling journey. I started out as a kid from Long Island with a passion for movement and creativity. My background wasn’t traditionally rooted in acting—I came up through parkour. That art of motion gave me an early understanding of discipline, storytelling through the body, and pushing limits, both physically and mentally.

After earning my BFA in Sculpture with a focus in video art, I moved to NYC and started making short films, performing, and posting parkour videos online. That’s where things really started taking shape. I was blending art, movement, and performance—without even realizing I was laying the groundwork for acting.

As my online following exploded, I began working as a professional stuntman, eventually moving to Los Angeles. That career took me to some incredible sets, working alongside A-list actors, learning everything I could about camera work, character, and timing. But I always knew I wanted to do more than just stunts—I wanted to speak, to emote, to dive into roles that told full stories.

The transition into acting wasn’t easy. It meant starting over in some ways. I had to train, to be seen differently, to prove I could carry a scene, not just leap off rooftops. But over time, through classes, auditions, and relentless self-work, I started booking roles. I embraced character work, found depth in scenes, and started being recognized not just for what I could do physically, but for what I could bring emotionally.

Now, every audition, every scene, every role is a culmination of that journey—from visual artist, to athlete, to storyteller. I’ve fallen in love with the craft of acting, and every day I get to pursue it feels like a win. I’m here now because I never stopped evolving—and because I never gave up on the belief that I could be more than just one thing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been anything but smooth. The truth is, I’ve built my entire career by refusing to wait at the front door hoping someone would let me in. I’ve always believed that creativity is my superpower—not just in front of the camera, but in how I navigate the industry. When the traditional route didn’t work for me, I got to work carving out my own.

Early on, I realized I wasn’t going to be handed anything. I didn’t have connections or an agent pushing me into rooms. What I did have was an obsessive drive to create—videos, characters, short films, stunts—anything that helped me tell stories and showcase my abilities. I didn’t wait to be cast; I made my own platform. And through that, I started getting noticed.

There were real struggles, of course—financial stress, career plateaus, being boxed in as just a “stunt guy.” But instead of sitting in frustration, I leaned into what I know best: movement, momentum, and invention. I found the third door when the first two were closed. I’ve cold-emailed, DMed, built businesses, launched creative campaigns, and even filmed high-quality audition tapes with zero budget. Each time I got told “no,” I used it as fuel to make something that would get a “yes.”

Being a father now adds even more weight to this journey. I feel the pressure—but I also feel the purpose. I want my kids to see that chasing your passion doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s path. You can be bold, resourceful, and unapologetically creative—and still get where you want to go.

So no, it hasn’t been smooth. But I’ve never relied on smooth. I’ve relied on me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a storyteller—through movement, emotion, and now, through words on screen. I started my journey as a professional parkour athlete and stunt performer, and over the years, I’ve evolved into a full-fledged actor. I specialize in physically demanding roles, action-driven characters, and emotionally grounded performances. What I bring to the table is a rare combination: years of experience on set as a stuntman and a deep commitment to the craft of acting.

I’m probably best known for my work as a Marvel stunt performer and for building a global following through my parkour career. I’ve starred on FOX’s Ultimate Tag, toured the world with a documentary I co-directed, and developed a reputation for pushing creative boundaries both physically and artistically. But what I’m most proud of is the way I’ve continued to reinvent myself—especially now, as I make this next leap into acting.

What truly sets me apart is my ability to approach the industry like a creative entrepreneur. I don’t wait for opportunities—I build them. I’m constantly filming, editing, creating characters, crafting scenes, and studying the art form like my life depends on it. I’m not afraid to do the work that no one sees. And I think that grit, paired with my physical training and emotional range, makes me a unique force in this space.

Most of all, I’m proud that I’ve stayed authentic to who I am. Whether I’m on set, in an audition, or making videos at home, I lead with passion and purpose. I’ve never fit into a box—and I never plan to.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Absolutely – I’ve been incredibly lucky to have a strong circle of mentors, teammates, family, and supporters who’ve played a big part in both my personal growth and my business journey.

First and foremost, my wife Brienne has been my biggest cheerleader from day one. We have been together since the age of 14 so she has seen and supported every crazy idea, every move across the country, every late-night grind session – all while managing her own artistic pursuits and raising our two amazing kids with me. Her belief in me, even when I’m second-guessing myself, has kept me going more times than I can count.

I’ve also had mentors and peers in the stunt and film industry like my Team Tempest Freerunning who have pushed me to level up. Whether it was the early days of YouTube parkour videos or working on major sets, there were always a few people willing to take a chance on me, give honest feedback, or introduce me to someone that opened a door. Guys like Emmy nominated Cory DeMeyers, who was not just a friend but a collaborator and fellow dreamer, helped elevate everything we touched together.

On the business side, I’ve been inspired and helped by other creatives who understand the hustle – filmmakers, actors, content creators, and entrepreneurs who share tools, lift each other up, and aren’t afraid to collaborate.

And of course, my community – my audience – has played a huge role in my success. Their support online, the shares, the comments, the people who come out to events or buy a product I’ve put my heart into… that connection means everything. Without them, I’d just be shouting into the void.

So yeah, this journey’s had my name on it, but it’s absolutely been built on the shoulders of so many others.
