Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Maldonado.

Jordan Maldonado

Hi Jordan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved video and photography. I even remember a video of myself as a child on a Cartoon Network set. I kept getting distracted by admiring the entire set, lights, and crew instead of making sure I was seen by the camera. My professional career started years later, in 2013, when I got the chance to shoot a friend’s wedding. After that, I shot a few weddings here and there, but nothing really big. Then in 2017, an industry friend of mine reached out and asked if I’d like to do some contract work for WSB-TV. Through WSB, I went on to shoot for large companies like Publix, Macy’s, and Hi-Rez Studios. Hi-Rez developed into one of the biggest experiences relating to my professional career, whether making ads for the videogames, spending longs nights getting footage ready for a live event, or even occasionally being in front of the camera for a bit. Throughout the years, I’ve realized that in addition to having this passion for video and film, I’ve also developed a passion for photography. The past couple years, I’ve spent developing and investing in that as well. Since I started, I’ve gotten the chance to shoot live events, professional headshots, theater productions, and marriage proposals! With each new experience I’ve gotten, my love for this art has only grown.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s never really been a smooth road. There’s been long stretches where it’s been very difficult to find clients, BUT to fill the time I try to get in shoots for friends and family!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a professional videographer/photographer that’s been in the field for 10 years.

I’ve specialized in professional headshots, wedding video/photography, and event photography. In addition to that, I’ve also been a social media specialist for Hi-Rez, making content for our TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, etc.

A recent video that I’m pretty proud of is this proposal for which I had the privilege to shoot both the photos and video. It was in a rented-out theater, and the boyfriend had commissioned a whole animated short film that played before the proposal. It was incredibly thoughtful, beautiful, and unforgettable.

On every level, I bring incredible amount of passion, dedication, and creativity to deliver the best possible results. With my portrait photos, I enjoy getting the more standard headshots then try to see if the clients would be up for something more creative that really highlights their personality and showcases their more original tastes.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
When it comes to the work I do, I love to be able to make people feel good about themselves and give them images or videos that they can be proud of.
