Check Out Kelley’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelley.

Hi Kelley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Like many millennials, I’ve worked in corporate most of my adult life but would always get into a rut after about a year into any job I had. I’ve always been a creative by nature but had never really thought of being a full-time influencer or had even tapped into my full potential mainly because of fear, daily circumstances or just plain old excuses.

I remember having an a-ha moment one day at work during my lunch break and realized I wasn’t living my truth. That would explain why I began to dislike my job so much and why frankly, I was so “unfulfilled”.

I’ve always been into Fashion and Food and constantly inspired by many YouTubers but like most allowed fear to keep me from taking that leap.

In that moment of truth, I no longer wanted to be content and decided to step out on faith. I begin documenting my fashion and food dairies mainly on Tik-Tok since it was pretty popular during the pandemic.

To my surprise, I begin to feel a since of purpose and personal fulfillment. Creating content came so naturally for me. Soon, my following from Tik-Tok begin to transfer over to my Instagram. I confidently dove headfirst into Wallflowertrends-I think the name speaks for itself. But this time, I was no longer a flower on the wall but a work of art inspiring women (mainly moms) with my fashion, food, and lifestyle trends! It’s only up from here.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Taking on micro-influencing has not always been a smooth road. It takes a lot of balance and organization. I used to struggle with finding my rhythm especially as a wife and mother. Somedays, I couldn’t get into a creative space; other times, I’d be too tired to record because of all the other responsibilities I had to juggle. Pacing yourself and understanding that you aren’t on anybody else’s time but your own helped me out A LOT!

I truly believe there will always be challenges whenever you’re pursuing the things in which you love.

I think, for me, how I’m able to overcome those challenges also is because of my amazing support system (my husband, family, and friends). My husband has always been my biggest fan. Being a creative himself, he understands the time that goes into content and the grind to put it out. But he also believes in me and knows that whatever I set my mind to I’m more than capable.

Same with my family and friends. They tell me all the time how much I inspire them. How they wish they had the courage to take that risk. At the same time, they admire my drive and determination and only want what’s best for me.

For me, having that support system only further solidifies why I do what I do and will continue to do great things. Just knowing I have people behind me rooting for me keeps me going every day!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an over thirty and thriving girl mom and wife living in Georgia.

I’m known for creating content geared towards millennium women, more specially moms, sharing my life through fashion and good food. I hope to inspire all moms to embrace their “new” bodies and feel confident doing so all while encouraging them to eat well.

I’m most proud of just taking the risk and becoming a micro-influencer. It took me a while to get the courage to do this but I’m so glad I did. The reward for me is just to see how far I grow and to continue to inspire other moms across the globe. I can’t wait to see where my “garden” of followers are a year from now.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
A fun fact that most might not know is that I’m multi-faceted. I’m also a singer/songwriter. Some of my video content contains my own personal music.

Although my music is under a different alias it’s amazing for me to be able to incorporate that part of me. It just makes creating content that much more exciting to me.
