Check Out Kelon Miller’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelon Miller.

Hi Kelon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
A husband and father of two. Born and raised in the Caribbean on the beautiful island of Saint Vincent, now living in NYC but work in many other states.I always enjoy art as I used to sketch everything I see when I was younger. I recently got back to my love of art but placed it towards photography. I’ve been shooting for seven years now. I specialize in portrait and wedding photography. I also shoot destinations and events. I mainly use lighting to shoot indoors or outside, as it gives my images a signature look that my clients love. Photography is my passion and its something I love doing so why not make a living doing what I love and loving what you do. I also Built a Team of creative that work together to cover a multitude of different client photo and video needs.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Of course it hasn’t bin a smooth transition. Balancing Family, Working my way out of my 9-5 job while trying to learn about Entrepreneurship (Taxes, Money management, Client management, etc..) was really overwhelming. But when you surround yourself with persons with the same goal ,it helps because you can learn from them also.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a photographer. I specialize in portrait and wedding photography. Im know for producing beautiful images for everyone both professionals and those new to being in front of the camera. I pride myself in making new persons comfortable being infront of the camera. When I look at my journey, I am most proud of building my clientele to a point where I could leave my 9-5 job. After that transition it made it easier to solely concentrate and fine tune my business needs while spending more time with the family. What sets me apart from others is my knowledge of lighting. I use lighting 90 percent of the time for my signature looks. I create my own light to compliment ambient light. To make a more dramatic looks or for Stylized sessions.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I love to teach what I know to newer photographers. Because when I was starting out I didnt have to much help. And the few persons that did help me greatly impacted my progress.
