Check Out Kendra Hatton’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Hatton.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my hair business from a genuine love for beauty and confidence. What began as a small idea—helping people feel good through quality hair—quickly turned into a passion project. In the early days, I was learning everything hands-on: sourcing hair, understanding what customers truly wanted, and building trust one client at a time.

As the business grew, so did my vision. I focused on consistency, quality, and customer experience, which helped set my brand apart. There were challenges along the way, but each one taught me valuable lessons about resilience, patience, and believing in my purpose.

Today, my business is a reflection of that journey—built on hard work, authenticity, and a commitment to helping people feel confident and empowered. What started small has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and I’m excited about where it’s headed next.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all—it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most businesses, there were plenty of challenges along the way. In the beginning, one of the biggest struggles was figuring things out with limited resources, from finding reliable vendors to building a consistent customer base. There were moments of self-doubt, slow sales, and times when growth felt uncertain.

I also had to learn how to balance everything—marketing, customer service, finances, and actually delivering quality products—often all at once. Mistakes happened, but each one became a lesson that helped me improve and grow stronger. Those challenges pushed me to be more disciplined, patient, and strategic.

Looking back, the struggles were necessary. They shaped the business into what it is today and taught me resilience. Even though the journey wasn’t easy, every obstacle helped prepare me for long-term success.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I run a hair business focused on providing high-quality hair, and a premium experience from start to finish. I specialize in offering – carefully sourced products that look natural, last long, and help my clients feel confident and put together. Beyond the hair itself, I place a big emphasis on education, honesty, and customer care—making sure people know exactly what they’re getting and how to maintain it.

I’m known for consistency, attention to detail, and building real trust with my customers. I don’t rush the process or cut corners; quality and experience always come first. That’s helped me build strong relationships and repeat clients who believe in the brand.

What I’m most proud of is creating something from the ground up and watching it grow through hard work and dedication. I’ve built a brand that reflects my values and passion, and that genuinely serves people.

What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and excellence. I treat my business like a craft, not just a transaction—focusing on quality, transparency, and making sure every client feels valued and confident when they choose my brand.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I started my journey as a hairstylist with a genuine love for hair and helping people feel confident. What began as a passion quickly turned into a business as I invested in my education, practiced consistently, and built my skills one client at a time. In the early days, I was doing everything myself—learning techniques, managing clients, and figuring out how to grow while staying true to my vision.

As my experience grew, so did my confidence and reputation. I focused on mastering my craft, staying up to date with trends, and creating a welcoming, professional experience for every client. Through word of mouth, consistency, and dedication, my business continued to grow.

Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come—from starting with a dream and determination to building a business that reflects my passion, work ethic, and commitment to quality. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge shaped me into the stylist and business owner I am today, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
