Check Out Kimiesha Jones’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimiesha Jones.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Music has always been a major part of my life. I started singing at the age of 2, I come from a musical family and was in my high school marching band. I sing, play the drums, & play the saxophone. Growing up I use to make Christian covers to rap & r&b songs. After a while, I started writing my own music.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a tough road. Growing up I didn’t have everything I needed to make the most quality music but I made do until we could afford new recording equipment. As I got into the gospel industry I started to make some headway with my music but I felt like I was being put in a box, so I decided to break out and do r&b music. My current struggle is learning the ins and outs of that genre and how to move forward, it’s definitely different than what I’m used to.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an award-winning recording artist/singer/songwriter. I put my all into the music I write. I am known for winning the 2018 Walmart Gospel Superstar competition in New Orleans with David & Tamela Mann. I am proud of all of the music I’ve written, every song shows growth. I specialize in leading people.

How do you define success?
I define success as not quitting. If you keep going you will eventually achieve what you set out to achieve!
