Check Out Lattifa Bryant’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lattifa Bryant

Hi Lattifa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story as a book specialist started in 2016 during my darkest time. Working next to a gun shop, I thought about ending my temporary pain permanently. But God kept whispering, “No ma’am…go write.” Instead of giving up, I poured my feelings into my notebook. Those raw writings became my award-winning bestseller.

Writing became my therapy – the way God helped me survive. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to help others who have stories burning inside them, waiting to be written. I knew firsthand how lonely writing could be, and how much writers need support and community. After my debut bestseller ‘”Speak the Night After I Killed Myself” came out, things got harder. The enemy came at me strong. I fell into depression, felt embarrassed by my book, and almost gave up on everything I’d fought to overcome.

That’s when I got a vision: a company that would give writers the community, coaching, and publication support I wished I’d had. I got mentors, learned everything I could, and built something to help other writers share their stories.
Now I welcome writers who need judgment-free support to reach their writing dreams. We do more than help with writing – we’re here to support you as you discover yourself through sharing your story. Your painful past can become pages that lift others up. Let us help you write your next chapter.

When I’m not working with writers, I love my caramel macchiatos, dream about Bali, and always keep my pen close. I live by Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.’ If you know, you know!”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Listen, my road has been anything but smooth. Let me be real with you – before I started helping other writers, I was fighting for my own life. Back in 2016, I was in such a dark place that I thought death was my only way out. Working next to that gun shop was a daily battle with my thoughts.

My first big win – publishing “Speak the Night After I Killed Myself” – came with its own storms. Right when I should have been celebrating, the enemy hit hard. Depression knocked me down. I started feeling embarrassed about my book, about sharing my story so openly. I almost threw away everything I’d built because the shame and self-doubt were so heavy.

Even building my company came with its struggles. Starting a business isn’t easy when you’re healing yourself. Some days I questioned if I was good enough to help other writers. I had to learn everything from scratch – how to coach others, how to run a business, how to build a community. There were plenty of nights I cried, plenty of times I wanted to quit.

But here’s what I learned: those obstacles weren’t there to break me. Each struggle taught me something I needed to help other writers. My dark times gave me the heart to understand writers who are turning their pain into books. My battle with shame showed me how to create a judgment-free space for others.

Every obstacle made me more determined to build what I wished I’d had during my writing journey – real support, genuine community, and someone who understands both the writing process and the emotional journey behind it. These challenges shaped who I am as a book specialist and how I serve my writers today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a certified book specialist who helps people turn their life stories into powerful books. With my background in African American Studies and English, I don’t just help people write – I help them understand how their stories matter and deserve to be told.

What sets me apart? I’ve lived what I teach. When God turned my darkest moments into my first bestseller, I learned firsthand that our pain can truly become our purpose (not to mention our paycheck!). Sometimes the very thing that tries to kill us is exactly what God uses to reinvent us. That’s not just a pretty quote – it’s MY testimony and the basis of how I work with writers.

As a professional ghostwriter and publishing specialist, I do more than just put words on paper. I help people dig deep into their stories, find their voice, and share their truth without fear. If you need full ghostwriting services or publishing guidance, I’m here to walk with you through every step.

I’m most proud of creating a safe space where writers can be vulnerable and real. When someone comes to me with a story they’ve been scared to tell, when I see them move from fear to confidence, that’s everything to me. My writers know they’re not just getting a book specialist – they’re getting someone who understands their journey because I’ve walked it too.

Each writer I work with has an amazing story that deserves to be heard. It doesn’t matter if it’s pain, struggle, or growth—I specialize in helping people understand that their experiences matter and can help others. God didn’t bring you through it just for you—your story could be someone else’s breakthrough. Someone’s breakthrough is tied to your testimony. Your story has power. Don’t keep it to yourself.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Ooooo, YES! Let me share some game-changers that feed my spirit and business! Real Talk Kim’s books hit different – she keeps it real while dropping wisdom straight from God. ‘You Gotta Get Up’ especially speaks to my soul when I need that extra push.

Speaking of powerful women, anything Kendra Y. Hill puts out, I’m soaking it up! Her books changed how I see faith and business mixing together. Y’all need to get into her podcast ‘Koffee with Kendra’ – it’s my go-to for real talk about building a God-centered business. Her faith-based groups like Millionaire Missionaries and her church Ignite have been such a blessing in my journey.

These resources speak to success while keeping God at the center. When I need inspiration or guidance, these are my power tools that help me show up as my best self for my writers.
