Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Lynn-Lee.
Hi Laura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Doing business in Austell, Ga since 1995.
Took a break in 2001, came back in 2006, that’s why the name of shop is
De’Ja-Vous.
Started in a small portion of the 7000 square-foot space, with not much revenue in the bank. But with the help of a very generous landlady Marla Miller, gave me 6 weeks to get dealers to rent spaces and build up inventory, off we went to needing more space for all the people that were asking to come in our up and coming shop. We’ve had a few ups and downs over the years. But we are still going strong. Now we are 7000 square foot completely filled to the brim with marvelous antiques and collectibles. All with my handful of fabulous dealer they keep beautiful pieces to pick and choose from.
Our motto is: Come and see “What’s New at Dejavous “
Owner Laura Lynn-Lee
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My struggles are normal for a self employed business. When I started 30 years ago never dreamed we would still going strong.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Antique store specialize in a variety of things. Refinishing and updating furniture.
I guess my speciality is decorating and staging items to give them the best possible look, so they can picture how it would look in their own home.
What makes you happy?
I do love to take a sad piece of furniture and clean it to perfection. replace broken parts, re-glue, and stage it to bring it back to life. The best part of being in this business is knowing that you have saved something for a new home and a new life.
Best way to be Green.
