Today we’d like to introduce you to Loren Nelson.
Hi Loren, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
From a young age, my parents always told me that you have to find a way and figure it out, because life only gets harder as you get older. Those lessons stayed with me and have guided me throughout my entire life.
I started out taking a graphic design class in high school and quickly fell in love with it. At the same time, I was also a student-athlete, playing basketball throughout high school. When I decided not to pursue basketball at the collegiate level, I found myself at a crossroads, trying to figure out what was next for me.
Design and editing became my outlet and my passion. I committed to mastering my craft, which led me to open my own business and fully step into the creative world. From there, my work began opening doors across different industries, including sports, music, and documentary-style projects. Each experience has helped shape where I am today and continues to push me to grow creatively and professionally.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. There have been several moments along the way that forced me to slow down, reflect, and reset. One of the biggest challenges I faced was experiencing deaths in my family. That loss affected me deeply and, for a period of time, it completely rerouted my mindset. I had to take a pause ; not just creatively, but mentally and emotionally to process everything and regain my sense of direction.
Another major obstacle was my decision not to pursue basketball at the collegiate level. Basketball had been such a big part of my identity for so long, and stepping away from it left a void. I had to relearn who I was outside of the sport and figure out how to channel that same discipline and drive into something new.
An additional roadblock came when I transferred schools unexpectedly. That transition was unplanned and challenging, as it meant starting over in many ways—adjusting to a new environment, rebuilding momentum, and finding my footing again. Each of these moments tested my resilience, but they also helped shape my growth. Through every setback, I learned how to adapt, stay committed to my goals, and keep pushing forward even when the path wasn’t clear.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work as a multidisciplinary creative, specializing in graphic design, video editing, videography, and photography. My work focuses on visual storytelling , bringing ideas, moments, and brands to life in a way that feels authentic, intentional, and impactful. I enjoy being involved in the full creative process, from concept development to final delivery, which allows me to maintain a strong and cohesive vision throughout every project.
I’m known for my versatility and adaptability across different industries, especially within sports, music, and documentary-style content. Whether I’m designing graphics, shooting live events, or editing cinematic visuals, I approach every project with the same level of care, creativity, and attention to detail. I aim to create work that not only looks good, but also tells a story and connects with people on a deeper level. What I’m most proud of is how I’ve been able to turn my passion into a business and open doors for myself through consistency and hard work. Building my brand from the ground up and collaborating with a wide range of clients and creatives has been incredibly rewarding. Each project represents growth not just creatively, but professionally—and reminds me of how far I’ve come.
What sets me apart is my background and mindset. Coming from athletics, I bring discipline, work ethic, and resilience into everything I do. I’m not afraid to adapt, learn new skills, or step outside of my comfort zone to deliver the best possible result. I treat every project as an opportunity to evolve, push creative boundaries, and create work that stands out while still staying true to my style and values.
What makes you happy?
What truly makes me happy is life itself, the people, the moments, and the experiences that shape who I am. My family plays a huge role in my happiness. Their support, love, and presence ground me and remind me of what really matters, especially during challenging times. They are my foundation and a constant source of motivation. My relationship also brings me a great deal of happiness. Having someone who supports my growth, believes in my vision, and walks alongside me through both the highs and the lows gives me balance and peace. It reminds me that I don’t have to navigate life or my journey alone. Beyond that, I find genuine joy in seeing other people happy. Whether it’s helping someone bring their vision to life through my creative work or simply being part of a moment that means something to them, that fulfillment is unmatched. Creating something that resonates with others, captures emotion, or helps tell their story is incredibly rewarding for me. At the end of the day, happiness for me comes from connection—connection to my loved ones, to my purpose, and to the people I get to impact through my work. That’s what keeps me inspired and grateful every day.
