Check Out Lucky Goldie’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucky Goldie.

Hi Lucky, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Lucky Goldie, a Brooklyn-born poet, music producer, and visionary behind Poetic Production NYC. My journey started like many—marked by challenges, silence, and survival—but transformed through faith, fatherhood, and the written word. What began as therapy through poetry became a mission: to speak truth, inspire others, and leave behind a legacy rooted in art and love.

I write from the soul. My debut book Life is Just a Dream captures that journey—a story of resilience, redemption, and creative rebirth. Since then, I’ve launched a growing platform that fuses poetry, music, and cultural upliftment, while homeschooling my daughter and helping her become a working child model and fashion creator at just six years old.

Everything I do—on the mic, on the page, and in real life—is for the culture, for the future, and for the ones who never got to tell their story.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve faced everything from incarceration to rejection. I’ve sat in over 15 job interviews that led nowhere—but those setbacks gave me clarity. They pushed me toward my calling. I served four years for taking charges for my younger brother, and that time became the soil where my creative roots took hold.

Rejection became redirection. I started writing more, building more, and trusting the process. Now I’m publishing books, producing music, mentoring my daughter, and preparing to open a creative studio for my community. My biggest challenge became my greatest fuel.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As an artist and creative, my work lives at the intersection of poetry, music, fatherhood, and cultural preservation. I create art that speaks for the silenced, honors those we’ve lost, and empowers the next generation to dream louder. My debut poetry collection, Life is Just a Dream, explores the complexity of my journey—from incarceration to fatherhood to legacy-building.

I’m currently producing my first EP, Crows of the Ghetto, which will be released alongside a trilogy of poetry books. I also manage my daughter’s modeling career and homeschool her full-time, teaching through a lens of creativity and truth. Every word I write, beat I produce, or move I make is designed to inspire, educate, and build something eternal. My work isn’t just creative—it’s purposeful.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people are surprised to learn that I write, produce, and design everything independently. I taught myself the music software, built my brand from scratch, and even manage my daughter’s growing modeling and fashion platform—all while staying grounded in my faith.

Another surprising fact? I once served four years in prison for taking the fall for my younger brother. What was meant to break me became the very place where I found my voice. That silence birthed my purpose.
