Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynda Louis.
Hi Lynda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into photography began long before it became a business. In high school, I was drawn to capturing moments and experimenting with visual storytelling. That curiosity was nurtured at home, sitting with my grandmother as we flipped through her photo albums. I became fascinated not only by the images themselves, but by the people within them and the stories that extended beyond the frame. Those early experiences shaped my appreciation for storytelling and human connection.
I later studied Hospitality Management with a concentration in leadership studies at Johnson & Wales University, an education that continues to influence how I approach service, professionalism, and client experience. After graduating, I built my career working with global brands such as Marriott International, InterContinental Hotels, and Fairmont Hotels and Suites in both New York City and Atlanta. These environments required a high standard of execution, where attention to detail, elevated service, and consistency were non-negotiable.
Photography ultimately became the natural intersection of my creative instincts and my hospitality background. What began as a personal creative outlet evolved into a purposeful business as I refined my craft and recognized the impact of strong imagery particularly within professional and corporate spaces. Each chapter, from hospitality to photography, has shaped how I create and serve today.
Today, Lynda Louis Photography specializes in corporate event photography and videography, Event Headshot Lounges, and executive and team headshots. Based in Atlanta, I partner with companies, conference organizers, and brands to deliver polished, on-brand imagery through a seamless, high-touch experience.
Our work has been trusted by clients including Aston Martin, Meta (formerly Facebook), McDonald’s, Macy’s, the East Point Visitors and Convention Bureau, Online Marketing, and Casebook PBC, among others.
At the core of the brand is a journey rooted in storytelling, service, and authenticity—one that continues to evolve with every client and every story I am entrusted to capture.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a completely smooth road, but the challenges have been among the most valuable lessons. One of the greatest learning curves was finding the balance between creativity and the realities of running a business—everything from pricing and marketing to understanding the broader market in order to clearly define my ideal clients.
There were also moments of self-doubt and inevitable growing pains that came with transitioning from established corporate environments to building something of my own. Gaining clarity around which opportunities to pursue, and which to walk away from, took both time and experience.
Each challenge has played a meaningful role in shaping the business I run today, strengthening my vision, resilience, and commitment to creating thoughtful work and delivering elevated client experiences.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the founder and Lead Photographer of Lynda Louis Photography, an Atlanta-based studio specializing in corporate event photography, Event Headshot Lounges, executive and team headshots, and corporate videography. I primarily partner with companies, conference organizers, and brands that value polished, on-brand imagery and a seamless experience from start to finish.
I am known for creating photography and video that feel both professional and authentic, allowing people to show up confidently and comfortably on camera. My background in hospitality strongly influences how I work, with an emphasis not only on the final deliverables, but also on the overall experience, clear communication, and attention to detail throughout every engagement.
At the core of my work is a business built on service, trust, and consistency. Clients rely on me to anticipate needs, adapt quickly in fast-paced environments, and deliver high-quality photography and videography with precision and care.
What sets me apart is the combination of storytelling, technical expertise, and white-glove service. I do more than document events or capture headshots. I curate a refined, intentional visual experience designed to elevate how individuals and brands are perceived, ensuring every detail contributes to imagery that delivers lasting value well beyond the event itself.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have been fortunate to grow with the support of many people along the way. My earliest introduction to photography came from my maternal grandmother, whose photo albums showed me how images hold stories, history, and connection. That early influence continues to shape how I see people and moments through the lens today.
One of my biggest cheerleaders was my aunt, who passed away in May 2025. She believed deeply in my vision and encouraged me consistently, especially during moments of growth and uncertainty. She even allowed me to photograph her, trusting me to capture her essence. Her support remains a quiet but powerful presence in my work.
My cousins, Richard P. of Rich P Productions, a professional photographer based in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, and Nadya V., and my sister Lydia have been steady sources of encouragement and perspective throughout my journey. Nadya, in particular, has been a strong influence in helping me understand how to run a business, drawing from her more than 30 years of experience owning and operating a real estate and property management company in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I am also grateful for the encouragement of my sorority sisters, Latosha and Melissa, along with my former coworker turned close friend, Natasha. Each has remained a steady and supportive presence throughout my career.
Professionally, I am deeply thankful to my first mentor after college, Joseph Keller, who guided me during my first managerial role at the Marriott World Trade Center. His leadership helped shape my standards, discipline, and work ethic. Working with global brands further reinforced the importance of excellence, consistency, and service.
I would also like to acknowledge my videographer, Jahim, whom I met while attending an in-person headshot class in 2016. What began as a shared learning experience evolved into a lasting friendship and creative partnership that continues to influence and elevate the work today.
Above all, I am grateful to my clients, collaborators, and community. Their trust and advocacy have been integral to the continued growth and evolution of the business.
