Check Out Markgetta Jackson Langford’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Markgetta Jackson Langford.

Hi Markgetta, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Our Background
Langford Travel, LLC, is a boutique, Veteran-owned travel agency dedicated to crafting unforgettable travel experiences tailored to your unique needs.

Founded in 2008, our agency has proudly served individuals, groups, corporate teams, faith-based organizations, and affinity groups with unparalleled expertise and personal care.

At the heart of Langford Travel is Markgetta Jackson Langford, who brings a disciplined approach to planning and logistics, ensuring every detail of your journey is seamlessly executed. Markgetta infuses every travel experience with warmth, creativity, and passion. A metastatic breast cancer warrior, she embodies a resilience and a zest for life that inspire her work. She cherishes her husband, Darryl, a retired Army Aviation Lieutenant Colonel, their four wonderful children, and four beautiful grandchildren, who serve as a daily reminder of the importance of creating lasting memories.

As a full-service Host Travel Agency, we offer a wide array of services, from all-inclusive vacations and bespoke group travel packages to corporate retreats and faith-based pilgrimages. “Our goal is to provide a personalized, stress-free travel experience that allows our clients to focus on what truly matters—enjoying their journey and creating cherished memories.”

At Langford Travel, we don’t just book trips—we create experiences that last a lifetime. Let us bring your travel dreams to life.

“Explore the world with us. Travel better. Travel together…Travel, Relax, Enjoy, Repeat.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. The pandemic created its own set of challenges for the world and the travel industry. Post-pandemic travel is getting back into full swing. However, the challenge now is that everyone is looking for those pre-pandemic prices as well as those special prices suppliers were offering right after the restrictions were lifted to get folks back to traveling again. Unfortunately, they just don’t exist.

Online booking platforms also create a challenge, as some folks don’t see the value of using a travel agency until that third-party booking engine they used doesn’t pick up the phone or offer a solution when they run into an issue pre-travel, during travel, or post-travel. Nothing compares to a warm, friendly voice you can call to have your issues resolved for you, rather than staying on perpetual hold waiting for the third-party booking engine to pick up.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a full-service Host Travel Agency, we offer a wide array of services, from all-inclusive vacations and bespoke group travel packages to corporate retreats and faith-based pilgrimages. “Our goal is to provide a personalized, stress-free travel experience that allows our clients to focus on what truly matters—enjoying their journey and creating cherished memories.”

We are known for our group travel experiences. We like to say we are “Experience Creators, with a twist of travel added in for fun.” Our group trips are more than just a hotel and beach; we offer a full-service experience created with our client in mind. There are no ‘cookie-cutter’ off-the-shelf travel packages in our agency.

We are most proud of the services we are able to offer our clients and the repeat clients we receive. Because we take time to curate a one-of-a-kind, unique experience for each client, we can leverage repeat customers and client referrals.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is family get-togethers and spending time at my grandparents’ for holidays. We didn’t have a lot of money, but we had a lot of love, a whole lot of family, and an enormous amount of food. I think that is what makes me such a “foodie” to this day. I don’t like to cook it, but if prepared with love, I will definitely eat ALL of it!
