Today we’d like to introduce you to Melody Williams.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am 41 years old, born and raised in Atlanta, GA at Grady Memorial Hospital, March 3rd at 5am😊
I am the only daughter to the late Pamela Renee Johnson Williams, who just passed on to us here recently on 8/14. Actually one of the WORST days of my life….and survived by my father, Willie Williams. My mother is my HERO😇
She is one of the reasons why I started to model; no matter my size, she always made sure to keep me in the loop with the fashion, keep me in the latest, and make sure I was the best version of myself possible. With her having me last and being a girl, she was so happy.
I have been modeling now for about eight years, publicated over five times, radio shows, podcasts, fashion shows, etc…
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to my success has been a ride, with me speeding, accomplishing so much in a small time in the beginning, to my life crashing down on me with a car accident to now losing my mom… I am more open to new things and more optimistic to the reality of life. I have always understood that things can come crashing down, but whew! To be honest, I wasn’t prepared, but when are we ever! I am coming on back around, and I’m going harder in my mom’s memory!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a motivational model and speaker. I set out to make you feel good in any endeavors you set out to accomplish in life, whether I’m taking pictures to express or speaking using my voice to express.
I also provide catering services as I love to cook and comfort people. I take my hobbies and make other people feel welcome and comfortable in life.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Just go for it….make sure you have a starter plan and a route of the way you want to start; you can actually learn along the way as we won’t know all the things at first, but make sure you keep a clear head and consistency of moving forward on your business/brand.
I actually enjoy learning as I go; I don’t wish I had done anything different.
