Today we’d like to introduce you to Mika Ortiz.
Hi Mika, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Throughout my life, I’ve been singing and dancing. After appearing in music videos on the Miami scene, I got the job that started it all: Mango’s Tropical Cafe, Miami’s most famous club. Being a major singer allowed me to expand my networking and job opportunities. I had always wanted to try acting professionally, but I had no experience, so I had difficulty getting booked. Using social media and the right people, I got my feet wet with content that showcased my talent and skits that showed off my acting skills, from comedy to drama. This helped me grow my following. It also helps me improve my skills that can assist me in landing my dream job. The release of my new project is something I am very excited about. It has been a while and it can be discouraging sometimes, but I finally said to myself go for it and it will work out. So please be sure to look forward to hearing more music from me.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Being unsure of who to trust and wasting time is probably the biggest struggle. A person must be bold to gain respect and educated to avoid being exploited. It’s all a part of the journey, whatever the outcome, at this point nothing is going to be a smooth ride. Everything involves commitments and stress constantly.

I feel I am most known in Miami as a singer and media personality. But, because I’m a sucker for a good show, I’d like you to meet the multi-talented entertainer. I’m open and straightforward, and I want to connect with my audience. My new music will soon be recognized, and people will be able to see me on the big screen. What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see progress. Whatever I do, I want to continue to thrive and do what I enjoy. Within the next 5-10 years, I aspire to be one of the top entertainers in the industry and add a few more titles to my resumes, such as mother and wife.
