Check Out Minkah Jackson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Minkah Jackson.

Hi Minkah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had certain goals and dreams I’ve wanted to accomplish, and when possible I always try my best to do so. My mom was an entrepreneur who wore many hats and when she wanted to do something she did; I’d like to think i got my “sky is the limit” concept from her. I joined the Army at 21, where I met my now husband of almost 11 years, I deployed to Afghanistan, I traveled but I knew it wasn’t my forever career. I had my son who is now seven, I’ve been a stay-at-home mom, something I’ve always wanted to do. I helped my husband build a successful business, something I was honored & wanted to do. I went to hair school something else I’ve always wanted to do but none of these hats were who I wanted to be! They were things I always wanted to do. While married my husband bought an apartment building and I helped remodel and manage his building and I loved it. I still do, but that was the seed that was planted to grow into me actually going to real estate school during the lockdown. I went to GAMLS, and it was definitely the hardest test out of all of the careers I’ve had to take lol! It was worth it, I joined the Keller Williams Signature Partner family and chose to join a team which is the Laura Miller Edwards Realty group, I think it was one of the best career decisions. I’m in a very supportive and positive atmosphere, it makes doing what I love as easy, fun and stress free as you’re going to get. I love helping my clients, I love seeing them happy by helping them achieve their real estate goals, rather its buying their first home, investment property, piece of land, sell their home whatever it is real estate wise that is who I want to be. That is who I am and that is the hat I want to wear forever! The realtor hat.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think we all know real estate is not smooth! It’s fun but not smooth, finding that work/life balance is hard because the market does not sleep! It’s awake it’s always changing and some changes are smoother than others but I have to be able to adapt to those changes and then help, guide and educate my clients on those changes as well. While still being a mom, wife, sister, etc.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a realtor, your local market expert. servicing the Atlanta, Marietta, Dallas and surrounding cities. I specialize in contribution, that is something I think sets me apart, I always want to be able to contribute in some way to my clients. I don’t mind going above and beyond to get the mission done.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Georgia is going to do what it wants to do, especially in Atlanta.
