Check Out Ms. Pat’s Story

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ms. Pat.

Ms. Pat

Hi Ms. Pat, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
From a young age, I discovered my passion for cooking, experimenting with recipes with the little ingredients available to me in my home kitchen. Cooking was a way for me to express my creativity and show my mother my “skills”. Our time in the kitchen together became our bonding time and moments in my life that I will never forget.

The story of what we do in ATL LLC, my boutique catering shop & personal chef service began in 2019 during a pivotal time in my life, when I was faced with the profound loss of my mother. This period was incredibly challenging and cooking became both a source of solace and a way to honor her memory. The kitchen turned into a place where I could channel my emotions and find comfort in creating dishes that reminded me of her.

I established my brand, infusing my mom’s recipes and the values she taught me into my services. Each meal became a tribute to her legacy and my business grew through heartfelt word-of-mouth referrals.

To keep her memory alive and to continue improving, I engaged in continuous learning and experimentation. (Cooking) workshops, new recipes and client feedback keep me inspired. My journey as a personal chef is not just about cooking anymore; it’s a testament to overcoming grief and honoring my mom through my passion.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth road…. absolutely not, the journey undoubtedly included challenges and obstacles.

From an emotional perspective, coping with the loss of my mom while pursuing my personal culinary dreams was emotionally taxing. Balancing grief, my professional career in technology and my personal aspirations required immense strength and resilience.

Professionally, balancing life and corporate America was extremely demanding. The long hours at work and the rigor to excel on the personal front, left me exhausted and sometimes even discouraged. Finding a balance between personal life and the demanding schedule of a personal chef became crucial. Ensuring self-care and personal time amidst a busy work schedule was challenging.

Establishing myself as a personal chef required building a reputation and gaining clients from scratch. This involved extensive networking, marketing and delivering exceptional service to earn referrals.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
