Check Out Nigel UNO’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nigel UNO.

Hi Nigel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always loved art. I started tattooing when I was 21 on a break from college (that I never went back to) and I was hooked immediately. I’ve gotten a few pointers from friends and YouTube university but I’m mostly self taught. Currently I work at Limitless Tattoo Co. and I’ve been there for about a year. At this point I’m coming up on 5 years as a tattoo artist and I don’t see an end in sight. I like to do all styles of tattoos, but I really shine in black and grey realism and anime.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been easy, since I didn’t have a traditional apprenticeship sometimes it can be hard to figure out what to do next. I’m the first real entrepreneur in my family so I’ve really been forging my own path.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My specialty is black and grey realism. I like to do really smooth shades and I’m really proud of my portraits. Something that really sets me apart from others is I really customize the tattoo for the client as much as possible. I love to hear there story’s and create sleeves that recreate the moment for them.

What’s next?
I’m really looking forward to traveling as a tattoo artist. Working conventions internationally is a big goal of mine.
