Today we’d like to introduce you to NoConduct Crew.
Hi NoConduct, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Hello VoyageATL, thank you for having us. We met on our Massage Therapy journey. We both attended the same chain school but in different locations. Our desire to blossom in the spa industry lead to us first meeting at Hand and Stone. We connected so much and was always on the same level. We ended up going out to an international event and been at it ever since.
The way we complemented each other on the dance floor was a site to see. Upon the day we encountered Rum Punch Bruch was the day we became known as who we are now. The lit couple who always bring good vibes and good energy. We went to the event so much that people started to label us as the Rum Punch celebrities. So, we ended up putting a name on it which birthed No Conduct Crew.
We wanted to make it more than just a name so we made it into a brand. A brand which includes hosting events, DJs, graphic designing, clothing and a beverage which is in the making. Since then we have been on multiple events. We’ve hosted a few yearly events, seasonal events and also currently host and DJ at the weekly event Detour Thursdays at Cru Alpharetta. Rum Punch Brunch will always be our home for Sundays so you can also catch us there during the season.
Our journey is just beginning from our brand only being 11 months old. Within that time, we’ve learned and grew so much from our beginning stage. We’re being noticed more for our gifts, talents and the drive we have to make something for ourselves. The brand is based on letting people know that it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from. We want people to enjoy life to the fullest within your their way.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The path wasn’t that easy because we were the new kids on the block. The challenge was proving that we weren’t looking to be in the main spotlight but wanted to shine the light on so many. I don’t think a lot of people took us seriously because we just showed up and had a spectacular time just dancing at parties and that being it. It was a bit difficult making connections with people who had been in the party industry for quite some time. We wanted to be seen as an everlasting experience more than just a physical presence.
We had a vision for the brand and we were going to achieve that vision to the fullest of our extent. So, we stayed dedicated and consistent to what we wanted. Nothing was easily handed to us but we gradually gained respect from the big dogs in the game. Through all these obstacles we obtained knowledge and stood tall in our independence.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
(DeAunte) after graduating massage therapy school I took a different route and pursued a career in the IT field. Management and Leadership has been a pillar in my work life from spas, retail stores, and now warehouses. My friendly and helpful nature is what sets me apart from others. I love giving out positive energy as that is what I always seek in return. I’m proud to actually successfully pursue the things I love to do and have a legitimate business I can call my own.
(Mersha) I am currently working in the field of Massage Therapy. My specialty is manipulation of soft tissue through numerous modalities including and not limited to Deep Tissue, Swedish, NMT, etc. I am known for being a natural healer from many of life’s aches and pains. I am proud that I’ve mastered the art of bodywork. I think taking a step back from modern medicine and approaching life with literally hands first sets me apart.
How do you think about happiness?
We think about happiness as more than an eager emotion by itself. True happiness is the joy of God that courses through our veins. Fulfilling our dreams and watching them come true gives life to more ideas we can shock the world with. Being able to make a positive change in our community and bring people together. Atlanta is the birthplace of our brand but we seek to become an international icon that’s known for giving back.
If you haven’t noticed, doing for others really makes us happy. Outside of humanitarian action, we do enjoy chilling on the couch and watching our favorite shows after a long day of work. We also find happiness in treating each other with gifts and taking turns cooking dinner.
