Check Out Nova Jay’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nova Jay.

Hi Nova, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
So I’m a model and visual artist. I’ve been modeling a few years and I currently work with Hardy Studios.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’m very blessed to have had a few of my opportunities nearly fall into my lap. However, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t and does not still come with its struggles. I’ve heard “no” more times than I can count and as an artist that’s just something you have to get used to.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Model, I specialize in editorial work. I’m most known for my work with Beni Clothing, Hardy Studios and the hair companies I’ve shot for. My proudest moment was probably having a photo selected to be on Vogue Italia’s PhotoVogue. The knowledge that I have and my versatility set me apart…

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’m very spiritual so I listen to a lot of spiritual podcasts and they really help to keep me at peace with all the craziness in my art life. I like “ Spiritual Shit”, “ The Midnight Góspel”, and “The Buddhist Auntie” a lot.
