Check Out Panama Mint’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Panama Mint

Hi Panama, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Music has always been a part of my story early on my passion for it I poured in others music artists. As of late the last 6 years I poured the energy into myself, music allowed me to face challenges and to overcome hurdles. There have been times that besides venting to God music was my only comforter. A visit to the studio be a became my ritual to overcome life tragedies, I still use it as an outlet writing and recording religiously has helped me to grow as well as my craft,

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s had its challenges, I juggled running a studio, caring for my autistic brother, and elderly parents before they past along with pursuing music vigorously. Music itself has never been a struggle performing, recording, and writing or my joy. The process however has been trying at times with me being the sole financial backer. I’ve taking on ambitious projects with faith and a shoestring budget, because everything is on me. I have along the way been blessed to get favor from a few industry producers I’m working now with some platinum producers, They’ve believed in me and validated that this is my path. I haven’t got the notoriety or public recognition that comes with music, I have however created a catalogue of a couple hundred songs, almost all of which I’ve recorded at PatchWerk, My reward comes from being blessed to do what I love without any restraints besides the restraint of funds which would allow me to create even more.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As far as industry awards and charting, I’ve yet to achieve public adoration. I have worried less about a marketing gimmick to break me or the traditional path today’s successful artists mostly embark on. Instead of creating a moment, I’ve focused on mastering my craft. I’m known for my work ethic; for example, in my last 8-hour studio session, I recorded 16 songs at PatchWerk that were solely written by myself, in everything from rock to country to hip hop. I’ve had work weekends where I’ve recorded all night and shot 3 professional videos in a 24-hour span at different locations. I’m most proud of even though I’ve only done clubs and performance videos, I’m most proud of getting standing ovations in multiple locations. I’m not the best singer or the obvious recipient of praise. I’m underestimated by most when they first encounter me; however, my energy and swagger when performing have made critics believers. I believe what sets me apart from others is my authenticity; my style is unique to me and different from
Anyone mainstream because of my writing and recording, even though mostly written, it’s guttural. I draw from my life experiences, good and bad, and I feel like my emotion translates in every song I write.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I want readers to understand who I am as an artist because of my parents passing, my best friend passing, a cancer scare, a medical misdiagnosis, and a recent health scare I’m driven to be more than a musician. I want to help autistism, dementia, depression, homeless, snd dyslexic people. All of these illnesses or a part of my journey I’ve either been afflicted with or cared for an immediate family member attached to these ailments, so me helping cure them in my lifetime by raising funds and awareness for prevention I feel I is as much my calling as music,
