Check Out Paula Prinzi’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paula Prinzi.

Paula Prinzi

Paula, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I used to be “Bodacious Betty,” a retro pin-up model and hobby photographer just outside of Tampa, FL, back in 2009. I love the vintage aesthetic. For years, I shared a studio with a fellow photographer, and then, in 2015, I transitioned to boudoir. It’s a similar but different vibe. Retro pin-up is very prop and set-driven, with lots of eye contact with the camera. Boudoir has a more sensual vibe and doesn’t involve a lot of eye contact with the camera.

What I love most about photographing women is the empowerment aspect of it. It’s literally life-changing. Allowing women to connect with themselves and see themselves differently brings a newfound confidence that extends beyond the photo session.

I’ve since relocated to Middle Georgia, in Dublin, GA, and I’m so excited to be able to serve the women here.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Any business owner will face challenges. It’s how we handle the challenges that define whether we or not we survive as a small business.

One of my biggest challenges is helping women understand that not only are they worthy of being photographed, but also, they deserve to be photographed.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in helping women silence their inner critic and reclaim their self-confidence. What sets me apart is my ability to help women feel comfortable in getting out of their comfort zone.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
If I had to boil it down to a single characteristic, I’d say “determination.” Running a business is not for the faint of heart. It comes with new challenges all the time, and you have to adapt or die.
