Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Reiff.
Hi Rachel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got started as a professional actor in ATL over a decade ago. I was still in high school when I got my first agent and began auditioning. After attending Berry College and graduating in 2016, I worked as a freelance Social Media Manager for dozens of companies. I was still auditioning and working as an actor during this time, and the need for marketing in my own career ultimately lead me to teach Marketing and Branding to other actors. Now I am a full-time Actor, Branding Coach, and mama of 2!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’ think any creative field is an easy road. But if you’re called to a certain industry, you make it work because it’s what you feel you have to do in your heart. That’s how I’ve always felt about storytelling, and the film industry in particular! So no matter how hard it’s been, I’ve persisted and worked that much more to be able to share worthwhile stories.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m known as a working Actor and the “Fairy BRANDmother” to other actors. As an actor, I’m signed with Classic Talent Agency and Stellar Artists Management. I’m constantly auditioning, writing my own projects, and working hard to tell meaningful stories. I love that I can do this with my family; I even have booked a few projects with my son, Theo! As a Branding Coach, I teach other actors how to find and market their specific brand, so they can book more jobs! I absolutely love learning about each of my clients’ lives and their “secret sauce” that makes them stand out in the film industry. I do this through my 5-step Branding Process and then designing them a visual “brand board” to help them stand out to Casting Directors.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
A defining childhood memory is the first time I was cast in a local theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof. I was 10 years old and cast as the youngest daughter of the family, so I still got to sing part of “Matchmaker.” I remember in rehearsal one day, the director told my fellow “sisters” to follow my lead and example; and I remember how proud I felt…I was finally good at something, and something that I loved. I knew then I’d be an actor and storyteller for the rest of my life.
