Check Out Riverknight Everett’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Riverknight Everett.

Hi Riverknight, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up when I was seven years old I used to steal my older sisters MP3 player and I just enjoyed listening and learning all the rap songs I heard also my older brother was a musician so when it comes to music that’s always been a passion of mine having a first name like “Riverknight” you are kind of destined for greatness I used to hear my brother play the guitar and the drums etc when I was like 11 and I would try to freestyle to the sounds of the instruments but it wasn’t until 2013 I recorded my first single with one of my friends Kenny he had a studio this whole time and I didn’t know and vice versa he didn’t know I wrote lyrics so Kenny is definitely a major part in where I am today

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth ride I remember back in high school when I finally got the confidence to release music on SoundCloud there was a bad stigma around SoundCloud rappers and I got hell for it people were brutal but that didn’t necessarily stop anything it just put a fire in me to prove everyone wrong and fast forward to about 5 years ago when my family began our journey on television a lot of people thought that my passion for music came out of nowhere and many tried to ridicule me for it but this has been my dream all along this summer I decided to release a song every week just to show people I’m serious and I’m great at it!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am Riverknight Everett, a reality TV Star/recording artist from Snellville, GA. I am most proud of betting on myself when no one else believed my whole life people close to me tried to deter me away from chasing my dreams but I always stuck to my guns so I guess I’m just proud of my ambition/dedication to my craft what sets me apart from others is I don’t do this for them I do this for me I love making music and if a lot of people like what I make great if a lot of people don’t that’s okay because my music is my journal it’s how I release my emotions my thoughts etc this is for me not them

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Being in the music industry nobody’s path is the same I’ve seen people blow up off only releasing one song I’ve seen artist blow up after building a catalogue you just have to get in the field… release music there’s no perfect time or right moment you just have to get out there
