Today we’d like to introduce you to Rowe Jones.
Hi Rowe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I learned to do hair on my own hair when I was very young. I obtained a love for it since then and it has been a fire that has never went dim. I’ve been licensed now since 2015 and 2022 will make three years of being a salon owner. With very minimal support, I was able to make my dream a reality.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been no walk in the park. From the start of my career, I knew I loved hair and making people feel and look good about themselves. I knew I did not want to limit myself. I intentionally took steps to ensure I was educated and skilled in all hair types/ textures and creating a diverse clientele and portfolio. My greatest desire is to break negative connotations in the hair world. This is not at all easy but I know it can be done!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am not just a hairstylist but I feel I am an artist. Hair allows me to show my creativity all while keeping in mind the unique canvases (clients) I work with. I am very versatile, I specialize in all things hair! I am creative with color, weddings, haircuts and more! I am most proud of it all. I have been able to maintain a professional atmosphere while creating relationships with each one of my clients. I welcome all people with all types of hair to enjoy a Salon Rowe experience.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
We have great food and there is always something to do! I just wish the traffic was easier to get to these places!
