Hi Samyra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My love for fashion sparked my interest in building Sight Apparel. I began by investing in myself. I make plans, buy the materials, and create.
Sight Apparel is made for people to express their individuality. The merchandise is sold at low quantities for exclusivity. The brand ensures every consumer feels one of a kind.
The first official collection released December 2020. The next women’s clothing line to be released is Naked. The BFF accessory collection will also be coming soon. Sight Apparel’s photoshoot for the BFF collection is a collab with ATL Treasure Chest, a vintage clothing brand.
Starting my brand taught me valuable lessons. Patience, consistency, and believing in myself is crucial. While working on my brand, I became fascinated with photography. Focused, my photography services will be ready for booking by 2022.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building a brand is a journey I am grateful to be on. The process has been far from easy, but it is definitely worth every trial and tribulation. Through all the ups and downs, I learn valuable lessons. The struggles strengthen me to be better. My growth pushes me to expand my business.
The first thing I had trouble with is finding the best space for my website. I started selling items on Depop. Then I gave Sqauarespace a try. I eventually upgraded my Wix account to have my own domain and ability to accept payment. Wix makes it easy to design each page.
I am still learning how to market my brand. I struggle with releasing my content to the masses. I am looking into hiring a marketer to build the brand’s reputation.
Something I have to work on is being hard on myself. I am working on having more faith that everything will work in my favor. I am practicing patience throughout my process. Believing in myself is the key.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the CEO of Sight Apparel. My specialty is fashion. Eventually, the brand will expand to different avenues such as photography, home décor and etc. I am blessed to have made it this far.
Sight Apparel is a brand for individuality. All merchandise is sold in low quantities for exclusivity. Majority of the merchandise sold is hand-made by me. The Naked Collection was sewn with patterns I purchased. I also make the accessories. I will be releasing a page with the websites I source materials from to assist other creatives with their projects.

If you have goals and dreams, do not let anything or anyone get in the way of that. Push through the negative thoughts, negative opinions and any other barriers. As long as you stay consistent, you are bound to win in the long run.
