Check Out Sapphire Fyi’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sapphire Fyi.

Hi Sapphire, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey is a unique one at the same time probably the same or similar to everyone else. Had a hard childhood, didn’t feel loved or wanted& needed a way to escape from the nonsense going on around me. I decided I loved music so why not love it to the fullest & craft& jewel out life. That’s when I became Sapphire!

Sapphire is so confident and full of passion for the love of music it has became who she is. Every song, every word written, means something from deep within and speaks on things I’ve experienced and people I’ve endured in my life.

I wrote and sing all my life in the church leading praise and worship and singing on the choir. I’m a big fan in writing I wrote poetry, plays, short novels and songs as a kid growing up.

My biggest support was my dad in all that I wanted and loved to do. He passed in March 2020 right before I decided to take my music career to the next level.

After the death of my father having no support team and being a single mom took a huge toll on my life. Having no one to turn to all I did was pour my heart and soul on paper with song after song after song.

Then one-day things changed and that dark cloud start to go away. My best friend Ayo Weird took me in around his wing. He signed me to his label Socially Awkward and helped get my music recorded and push it out there so people can hear my story.

Doing photo shoots, performing live, going on radio interviews, making music videos, mini-series, and etc; has been some of the best experiences I’ve had in my life and I plan to keep pushing myself until the whole world hears my story.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is easy if so I would be where I wanna be; but of course life always has its ups and downs.

One major struggle was being homeless after my dad passed and being a single parent working hard to keep it all together and still pushing for my dreams to come true.

Staying motivated and keeping a positive attitude always kept me afloat knowing all my hard work will pay off.

Another struggle along the way was having people I could count on and trust.

Even tho they say things ain’t done right unless you do it yourself. Everyone needs a helping hand. Just pray that the helping hand isn’t going to stab you in the back, manipulate you or have terrible intentions that you’re blind to.

From jealousy, hate, lust and stalkers. Nothing is ever smooth, you just have to know how to be a few steps ahead and quiet about your next move.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I sing and write my own music. I am an all-around singer I love singing all genres. I’m known for my very sexy sensual songs and styles I bring on stage; as well as my many different color hairstyles. I’m most proud of the time I put in on the songs I recorded like “Angel” which I dedicated to my dad and “Tripping” which I recorded in ATL with the brilliant Aaron Thomas. What sets me apart from others is you not ever gonna know what you gonna get from me. I’m bound to surprise you every time with some new fresh and hot. Every word you gonna feel it and relate because all my music is talking about some real stuff, I’m not about the fake life.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The Covid-19 Crisis has been a hell of a wild trip for me. I caught Covid when it first came out and it took a toll on me. Not only that, I work as a nursing assistant and I was out of work for two years because of Covid. It has definitely taught me to stay prepared and ready for anything that comes your way.
