Check Out Savii The Artist’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savii The Artist.

Hi Savii, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Savii’s Getting better ❤️‍🩹

I’ve spent so much time building a habit of letting go that when it comes to talking about myself or having conversations, I become silent yet expressive as nature itself. Hashtag feeling like clarity. Mentally I live in that clear space, physically I’m on auto pilot while working 9-5s that fuel the dream unless I’m proactively looking for meaning throughout my day-to-day experiences. Did I mention I’m an artist? As of late, I’ve been asking the question, “What’s more important the art or the artist?” The ole would you rather receive the message or meet the messenger scenario which naturally comes down to personal preference. Did I mention I’m a self-taught artist? My early works of art and passion projects have been heavily influenced by anime. I used to have tons of books however now I’ve become somewhat of a minimalist because I have a huge flaw of spending too much time getting ready instead of being present in life.

Funny thing is one of the best pieces of advice I ever got was “always have a plan” now I realize like yo, “nothing goes as planned” make plans yes, but know life is more than just planning. You know the other quote “Life is what happens while you’re busy making plans” yeah that’s kinda true for me. The path of the Artist is not easy for me. I’m either creating to survive or creating to inspire, no in-between. The Journey is everything in-between for me. I’d rather stay on the inspiring and meaningful side of life because there is a special high that comes from knowing other people appreciated the art you created. Survival on the other hand is essential for teaching great life skills. @SimplydopeArt is my way of serving others through my many passions. The goal is to create and sell 1 of 1 piece via canvases + customized gift boxes filled with random essentials for Artists. For me art has always been about getting the ideas and visions I see playing in my head out as best as possibly can, using not only my hands but any and every tool possible. That type of thinking has made me become a very efficient and resourceful artist because what I’ve learned over the years is, I actually do get a high off of completing projects big or small, so when I procrastinate or don’t see projects through, I feel empty sometimes, or drained.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?

My journey is a mixture of the highs and lows. If the balance was a person it would be me. I feel like an anime character. I’m part human, part anime character. On a serious note I’ve been living with a pain I thought I could heal just by working through it or, giving it time. News flash! time is way too complex, and working through it only feels like a bandage over a wound that has no intentions of healing. I live with certain energy now that if I don’t use it creatively or productively, it will drive me insane. Emotionally I’m backed up. Physically I’m in the best shape of my life and I’m improving every day. I would love to just get paid to create. I imagine myself getting booked to do passion projects for a 4 – 6 figure check 4-8 times a year. Man, that would spark a fire inside me haha! I would really be a contracted Creative Director or Art director making a full-time living and thriving off of bringing visions to life. Sheesh, that would be amazing. Shoutout to anyone living that lifestyle, I’m heading there because I’m actively thinking about it. I appreciate this opportunity to be featured on your platform VoyageATL and love reading the backstory of your founders. Even though my story is still being unraveled, I will say this last thing for this interview, to all the creative souls out there feeling lost or unmotivated, “Find the silver lining in each moment.”

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Please visit www.simplydopeart.com to see my artwork (personal site).

It’s my greatest accomplishment thus far. Really the mindset I have not about life is my greatest accomplishment. I’m still alive so there is room to improve, I need to improve.

What sets me apart is that I’m willing to learn from others is my nature, by design I feel like I just get life now, suffering caused it, but I’m still young so I don’t know everything, I’m just so my best to surround myself and involve myself in all areas that align with what I enjoy, admire or wish to experience and have.

Right now is expressing myself fully on this interview, it’s not just an interview for me, this is like a self-check/ therapy session.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Anyone that wants to work with me I highly recommend visiting www.lofiistudios.com
