Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheneka Adams.
Hi Sheneka, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My entrepreneurial spirit comes from my father. He owned his own vending machine companies and I would work with him during the summers. I learned the importance of being my own boss through his hard work and wisdom. One thing he always told me was, “you can’t fly with the eagles hanging with the buzzards.”
Those words couldn’t be more true. I’ve been a business owner since 2012 and every year, I grow and learn so much.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road but it’s worth it. Nothing good comes easy. I will say once you get your footing, it becomes easier. I appreciate all challenges.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a hair extensions company. @sadamscollection I provide hair extensions and wigs for women but mainly women who suffer from hair issues.
I also have a women’s blog @simplysheneka where we focus on helping women level up to become the best versions of themselves.
My podcast @goddessconfessions is a complies list of confessions to keep you motivated and inspired.
My clothing brand @after7label affordable fashions for all women.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Family and Peace. The more you evolve in this world the more you understand that nothing will ever best family. If you don’t have a good relationship with yours, repair it. No wounds should go unhealed. Family units are important and when they’re strong, it’s threatening to the powers that be.
Peace is my priority everyday.
