Progressed to Front Office Manager after excelling in Atlanta GA. I then moved to Commerce, GA where I am now the General Manager at a beautiful Holiday Inn Express. I have been here for five years. See, I didn’t just become General Manager. I started as a front desk agent, promoted to Sales Coordinator, managed a successful Housekeeping Department then promoted to Sales Manager, promoted again to Assistant General Manager. Then promoted to General Manager.

I knew the very first time, I worked my first front desk shift this was it for me, where I wanted to be. The great thing about working in the Hospitality industry is not only the advancement through hard work and dedication, but the amazing people that you work with every day that shares the same drive. Building and cultivating the next generation of leaders. With the addition to meeting different people from all over the world. I absolutely love what I do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In life, it seems anything worth having has its ups and downs and twists and turns. Yes, during covid staffing the hotel was very difficult staff. I am so proud of the love and longevity that I have maintained in this industry. From job to career. 12 years later, I’m still doing what I love. I am proud of my hotel’s Annual Back to School Bash that we have every year, where we donate hundreds of school supplies. Our Annual Halloween Community Party we host and give a safe haven for kids to come trick or treat. Giving back is what it’s all about.

I am proud of our hotel team. I work with some of the most amazing people on planet Earth.
