Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzanne Powell.
Hi Suzanne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started My business after I Conquered breast cancer six years ago. After having a double masectomy, I didn’t feel like I was beautiful anymore so after I stopped feeling sorry for myself and realized the beauty of being a survivor, I started sharing my story of being a Warrior princess through wearing the biggest statement necklace to cover what I didn’t have anymore (breast). So that when my business Pink Purpose Collection was born. I wanted women who wear my jewelry to feel Empowered and they can Conquer any storm while looking FLY doing it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting My business had its ups and downs. I had the vision but didn’t know where to begin. So I started to surround myself with like-minded business women who showed me the ropes and gave me great advise to help me along the way. Another struggle for me in the beginning was opening up about why I started my business and was ashamed to share my story.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been with Resurgens orthopedic for 11 years. I love my job and it also fuels my Business. It’s hard managing a career and being an Entrepreneur at the same time. I would say what sets me apart from others is that I am great at Multitasking which helps me in my own business as well.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I would love to see my brand Pink Purpose Collection being in the wardrobe and jewelry department for major movies etc. I would love to also form my foundation. Pink Purpose Foundation.
