Hi Sybil, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Dr. Sybil H. Taylor, a clinical pharmacist and owner/CEO of Scripted Naturals. Scripted Naturals is an all-natural handmade skin and hair care company created to promote healthy skin wellness.
I started Scripted Naturals over three years ago to help my sister-in-law who experienced drastic skin changes while going through chemotherapy. Commercial products were too harsh for her skin. I identified what drugs she was taking to see their side effects, along with possible solutions. I researched what natural remedies were appropriate for her issues and formulated products she could use. She experienced positive results with the products I made for her and often shared her experience with others who requested I make products for them.
This is what led to the development of my healing care line. All skincare products can be customized for your skin type and or condition. Free skin consultations are also provided to create custom products for common or unique skin issues. Products are prepared at the time of purchase to ensure their freshness. Each product has all-natural ingredients, natural preservatives (if required) and absolutely NO chemicals. All products are prescribed with you in mind.
Customers soon began asking for other products for various self-care needs which I was happy to oblige. Scripted Naturals has now grown into a full hand-made skin and hair care business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road for Scripted Naturals initially due to the Covid pandemic. The official company launch was February 2020 but it was delayed because early on it was difficult to acquire product ingredients in large quantities. I had to sacrifice paying extra for smaller quantities to make products but I did not increase the cost to my customers due to my price point even though big companies increased their prices for profit. Empty bottles and containers were in short supply because so many companies shifted their production focus to manufacturing hand sanitizer. Some of the business opportunities slowed down due to many safety concerns. Scripted Naturals pivoted towards online sales only because in person sales were not ideal due pandemic restrictions put in place. With prayers, time and patience, Scripted Naturals overcame those challenges.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 32 years and am the mother of three beautiful daughters. I am a proud alumni of Xavier University of Louisiana, working as a clinical pharmacist with over 33 years of experience. I am currently working for the federal government assisting veterans. I have worked in multiple areas of pharmacy including retail, hospital and virtual healthcare. I am most proud to serve our country’s veterans. I have always been the “go to” pharmacist for compounding prescriptions wherever I have worked and I am passionate about the ability to create new products for healing purposes.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My family has and still plays a large role in my business. From day one, my husband Robert and my three daughters (Nandi, Anaya and Riana) have contributed in their own unique ways. My husband supports me spiritually, emotionally and financially. My oldest daughter Nandi Taylor Newby is my social media and business manager. My daughter Anaya Taylor is my financial manager. My daughter Riana Taylor is my graphic designer. My niece Jade Forest helped to design my business logo. In memory of my sister-in-law Eva Forest who was my biggest cheerleader. And a big shout out to all of my customers.
