Today we’d like to introduce you to SYDNE.
Emerging out of Zone 6, Eastside of Atlanta, songwriter, producer and vocalist, SYDNE is on a mission to redefine the pop and urban soundscape. For almost a decade, she has honed her unique pen craft and style, delivering lyrics for several recording artists, including Flo’rida, Chris Brown, R Kelly, Anjali World,
Juelz Santana, Jacquees, Jeremih and a host of others. She has also been featured as a guest recording artist, appearing on tracks by several Hip-Hop artists, most notably Maino and Lil Durk.
Music is literally running through her veins. SYDNE got her to start teaming up with her twin brother, also a burgeoning music producer; initially establishing her production company, Mii Brothers music LLC when she was in her teens, in order to help him get placements. Her dream as a little girl growing up in Decatur, singing in church, thumbing through Vibe magazine or listening to Hot 107.9, has always been to share stories through her music. The strength of her pen, her hustle, charisma, and passion have already propelled her into the major leagues, and with a major deal with ace publishing outfit Kobalt under her belt, the next chapter of her inspiring story is about to unfold.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am an artist/songwriter/producer who takes pride in making the best quality sound inside the music industry. I create because I want to help others across the world feel some sort of comfort while listening to my music. I feel like if I can be the vessel in helping express my truth, then it would possibly help others express and accept theirs.
I hope listeners are able to connect to their higher self while listening to my music. I want my listeners to not just hear the music but also feel and see my perspective in all of my writing. They’re no limitations when it comes to my creativity, and I try to make people think about not what’s directly in front of them, but what’s all around them.
How can artists connect with other artists?
Don’t be afraid to network and put yourself out there for the world to discover you. Your next opportunity could be standing right in front of you! Always be open and never afraid to bet on yourself! Success comes with patience and discipline!
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
I currently have an album out on all streaming platforms, and my work is self-titled “SYDNE.” I also have some material on Soundcloud.com/sydne1 along with my social media platform IG: @sydnesworld Twitter: @sydnesworld.
