Check Out Sylvia Tumusiime’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sylvia Tumusiime.

Hi Sylvia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well, I went through a personal situation where my husband and I experienced injustice firsthand, as my husband was falsely accused of something by someone we both knew and loved. This sparked my interest in becoming an advocate for men or anyone fighting to reclaim their life and freedom as a result of false allegations.

In 2019, I took interest in a high-profile case where I noticed numerous public inconsistencies. I began to do research, pull court docs and put pieces together many were unaware even existed. I created my YouTube channel, Infamous Sylvia and would report my findings daily. I would conduct live transcript re-enactments with actors, which caught the attention of news outlets such as the Chicago Tribune. From this experience, my passion for court vlogging was born. Since I have also covered cases such as Cardi B vs Tasha K Bill Cosby and there is definitely more to come.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has by no means been an easy road. Things have been challenging to say the least. I have been targeted by individuals who weren’t pleased with me educating the public on details of a particular case they would have preferred to keep hidden. I have been doxed, threatened, slandered and even had a false report made on me, which resulted in my arrest during a trial I was covering. I’ve realized the job of an Investigative Court Vlogger is not an easy one at all, but I won’t be swayed. I’m here for the truth and I’m passionate about justice for the wrongfully accused, as they are the true victims.
