Today we’d like to introduce you to TaKnowledge Crawford.
Hi TaKnowledge, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I wanted to be a social media influencer. I started working my first job at a private golf club in 2017. I was 16 years old at the time and like many other teenagers, I was obsessed with social media. I bought a cannon camera and begin taking pictures of myself and posting them online, which led to my Instagram account growing with followers and engagement. I kind of took a long hiatus after that. In 2021, I met up with a long-time friend of mine Kaivell who is a fashion model and influencer. He gave me the best pep talk ever. After that, I really decided to focus on making content for my Instagram. Me and my best friend Destiny worked day and night. We brainstormed ideas on what content we wanted to make and we made it happen.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been easy. Being a content creator can be extremely challenging. It takes a lot of time and dedication. I struggle with consistency. You cannot be successful as a content creator if you are not consistent. It feels like my journey has just begun. I know I have a long way to go. If I could give advice to anybody who is aspiring to be a content creator or influencer, I would definitely say just go for it! Upload that photo or that video and keep at it. Because you never know when you have inspired others.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
A lot of people look at my social media and assume that content creation is my job but the truth is, it’s not. I actually work full time at a golf club as a youth events and aquatics supervisor. I work with children ALOT. I’m mostly known for being a swim instructor/swim coach. I love working with the kids and building relationships with the families. I’m really proud of myself because I started working there on my sixteenth birthday and I’ve had the same job ever since. I truly believe my work ethic speaks for itself and definitely sets me apart from others.

I am always open to collaborating and working with others. I check my dms frequently and they are always open to everyone. I have a new merchandise line coming out in February. I’m super excited about it. It’s called Tay Katour Merchandise. A like and a follow is always greatly appreciated.
