Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Waters.
Hi Taylor, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my business as a pass time during my first semester of Graduate School. I was stuck in a rural town of Illinois, with no many activities to get into on a daily basis. I was looking for fulfillment. I was looking for something to make me happy again, seeing that I was going through a breakup at the time. I prayed and asked God what I should do and it hit me in a dream. Me sitting on a pile of orders in the middle of my living room. And Thats when it hit me, to start a business to keep myself busy. Thats exactly what I did. I went online, found vendors, ordered inventory, created a website and Instagram page all within 14 days. And There it was born, Pretty Girl Bangles & Accessories LLC. I amassed 10K followers within the first three months of business and that’s when I decided to take it serious and do it full time. This business has sustained me throughout my Graduate Program and post-grad, all the way down to Atlanta.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My journey for the most part has been smooth. I’ve experienced a few bumps in the road as far as social media goes. I’ve had scam pages made of me, Instagram blocked my account for a week before, amongst other social media hiccups. But as far as business itself, it’s been smooth sailing. I’m truly thankful for this testimony because not many can relate. I rely on my business to stay alive, it is my only source of income, so I work hard daily to stay on top.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a full time Entreprenuer. I specialize in handmade bangle bracelets/charm bracelets. I curate each bracelet by hand and they are all uniquely designed by me. I am most known for my bracelets, but I also offer a host of other items, such as necklaces, rings, lip gloss at times and much more. I also have E-Books on How to Grow Your Instagram Following as well, seeing that I am 55,000+ Followers. I am most proud of my dedication to my business. I’ve been in business for 730+ days, and to many that sounds like a LONG time, but to me, I feel like I am just getting started. What sets me apart from others is that No two bracelets are ever the same. No one on earth will have the same bracelets as you when you order from me. Each bracelet is uniquely made.
