Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrell Jones
Hi Terrell , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story has more detail but My mother was apart of the street life. She boosted and hustled her way through life. She was heavy on drugs, she did a lot of drugs while she was pregnant with me. I almost died at birth because of how much heroine and cocaine in my system. Because of the street life, she owed some gang members some money and could not pay it back, so they kidnapped me and held me for ransom. After weeks of looking for me they eventually got me back but after that my mother was executed, shot 4 times in the head. After she died, all 5 of us moved with my Aunt in St. Louis, Missouri. When that happened her husband died of cancer. She had 8 kids by herself. At the age of 12 I ran away from home and started the street life. I started smoking weed, drinking, robbing people and stealing cars. I eventually joined the 19th street Crip gang. It’s a lot more I will share about that later. From 12-16 i lived the worst street life one can live. I got caught by the police at 14 and then they put me in juvenile. After a few months of juvenile, I went to a boys home. I ran away from the boys home at 16 and been on my own ever since. From 16-19 o sold dope and gang banged. The worst part is I became a drug addict just like my mother doing every drug it is. Especially heroine can cocaine. I had a gram a day habit. It got really bad. I ended up getting a job at Shop n Save as a meat cutter to help my habit. I got so high one day that I nodded off and cut my whole finger off. I eventually got a check for it and I spent it on a car and drugs. I guy I bought the bought the drugs from ended up setting me up and sent 3 masked men to my house to rob me. When they came to my back door to rob me, they had two masked men holding my son and his cousin at gun point and one had me a gun point. He told me to give it up and when I didn’t he pull the trigger on a revolver gun that jammed and the gun didn’t go off. When he looked at the gun because it didn’t go off I got enough time to shut the door on him and I went to the front of the house and then to check on my son and his cousin, and they had all left. God stopped that bullet from going off. I didn’t realize it then but I realized it as I got older. That didn’t stop me from getting worse. There are several other stories that I want to share because those stories brought me to an end for myself. We can talk about those other stories in the actual interview. I got to the point where I was tired of this street life. One time my sister told me she saw me in a 7-eleven and I didn’t even know who she was I was so high on PCP. When she told me that I knew I needed to get out of St. Louis. I had men looking for me because I owed them money. I began to beg my sister to let me come stay with her in Atlanta. She eventually gave in and let me come. When I got to Atlanta I spent months detoxing. I eventually got off heavy drugs and started to come up in Atlanta became a salesman, club promoter, booster, and I managed rap artists. I still was doing pain pills and drinking heavy. Then I fell again and this time real hard. I went through a divorce and became homeless. I was broke, broken, depressed, sad, had my license revoked, I had 32 warrants in over 10 counties here and in St.Louis, I had over 50k in child support debt. I can go on and on about my life being a disaster zone. So I moved back to St. Louis with my sister that lived in Atlanta. I followed her everywhere she went because she was the only one who was willing to help me. Then I turned on the tv and started watching Creflo Dollar on TV. I started watching him all the time. That’s when I learned about what Jesus had done for me! I got on my knees and simple acccepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and asked Him to help
Me!!! My life was different after that day. I started to have a very strong relationship with God To make a long story short, He got rid of all the above in a year and a half. That’s when specifically told me to move back to Atlanta to join Creflo Dollars church World Changers Church international. As I was going I heard God tell me He was going to make me a fisher of men. I eventually joined and starting serving ASSP. I served as a Vision Keeper for 5 years. Then I joined the Bible school on campus and in 2019 I graduated with the class of 2019. I eventually got asked by my Pastor to do a show He has called Yoir World with Creflo to share my story on tv. After I did show on tv I got invited in his office for a meeting and that’s when he told me he wanted to train me for ministry. He told me he’s going to pour everything he had in me. And he’s done just that. He trained me from 2020-2022. The training still happens. He officially allowed me to preach my first sermon at the end of 2021. To make a long story short I am now a minister at World Changers Church International preaching on Wednesday,& Sundays. There’s a lot more that God is doing and has done that I can share when we meet. God literally turned my life from a disaster zone to a life of purpose worth living .i get all types of invites to preach all over now. My goal is to preach this gospel all over the world until Jesus comes back!
