Today we’d like to introduce you to Terri Fielder.
Hi Terri, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I like to go by TerriDanelle. My story starts back in 1996 when I was only fifteen years old. One day on the way to the store with my sister and cousin by heart stopped beating. I went into cardiac arrest. I was rushed to the hospital by my aunt where a doctor performed CPR but CPR wouldn’t start my heart back. So the doctors had to shock me with the defibrillator machine to get my heart back beating. From that day forward, I knew God was recharging my heart for the road He was about to take me on. Here I am twenty-six years later being a motivational speaker. I first started motivating women while I did their hair. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for fourteen years. I take pride in motivating other women because as women, we go through so much. So if I can help carry their weight by motivating them, that’ is what I will do. I love being a hairstylist and motivational speaker because it brings me joy to place a motivational word into someone’s spirit that may need help. I have spoken at several conferences and I am the co-founder of Ladies On The Rise Ministry. I also post motivational videos of me giving you some inspiration on my Instagram page at IamTerriDanelle. I love what I do. Especially when I make other women look and feel beautiful when I finish their hair. Building confidence, showing compassion, spreading love is my goal! So who am I? I am a motivational speaker and a hairstylist. And I am TerriDanelle
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Life has not been a smooth road for me. I am a divorced mother of three kids. Being a single mother has been a challenge. In the beginning, when I first got divorced life was a struggle for me. Financially, Mentally, physically and spiritually. I struggled in the beginning. But I stayed on the course to raise three great kids! And now, over ten years later from my divorce. I’m such a proud momma. And I look back at where I came from, from struggling to take care of my kids to being a boss and owning who I am as a woman! So I’m thankful for the struggles I went through!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I wear many hats. My first hat is… I am a licensed cosmetologist. I always had a passion for hair and I love being creative with different hairstyles. My second hat I wear is being a motivational speaker. I love speaking at conferences. My third hat I have just started wearing is getting into acting to become an actress. What sets me apart from others is the light that I carry. I pat my own self on the back and I keep going. The one thing I am most proud of is how well I raised my kids and how great they turned out.
