Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany La’Ryn.
Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In December of 2019, a well-known Youtuber by the name of Elhadj TV out of Los Angles reached out to me to ask if I was available to shoot in Atlanta while he was visiting. At that time I was working with independent music artists along with juggling a corporate job, and had never acted before, yet I agreed. I shot with him twice while he was in town, and at this time he had introduced me to another famous Youtuber by the name of Kinigra Deon. Elhadj asked me to go ahead and start a Youtube channel although I was reluctant (since I had no idea what to do with it), but I did. In March of 2020, he contacted me and asked if I would be open to coming to LA to shoot with him and his videographer, Phil ( Infancinema). I agreed. Once in LA he asked why haven’t I been creating and I told him I had no idea what to create or how to start. We started off conversing about who I was and some of my life experiences. From there, he expounded on how all my stories can be pulled from those experiences. We came to an agreement that if I were to come to LA once a month, he’d help me shoot and show me how to grow my Youtube channel.
I went to LA once a month for the rest of that spring and summer and worked effortlessly to gain valuable knowledge Elhadj and Kinigra.
During that time, I was introduced to other “big name” content creators in LA and Atlanta. This eventually led me to linking with two of those creators in Atlanta— Jamal the Creative and Funarios. At that time, it was the two of them, along with Teekay, Blynn, and Jayy Childish. I began filming with them exclusively and consistently and shortly after we formed a group called ATLverse. That content, at the time, was shot by Adro. Over the year we worked diligently— pumping out content and growing our channels. Within that 9 month span (since my fist solo video dropped), my channel inclined to 100k subscribers on Youtube, along with my other platforms.
In January of 2021, ATLverse decided to separate. I retained a new videographer named Dmart who currently shoots my content to date.
As of August 2021, I have expanded my audience and creativity by rebranding my content to family comedy (it was adult and relationship content prior). I put Tiffany La’Ryn Studio into full production— hiring my videographer full-time (dmart), a writer (Dame Pierre), and my immediate family (my children, parent, siblings, and significant other) as main actors. In September, I started a second channel to help give my fans a more exclusive look into my personal life. The vlog channel is called The Gotit Family— which is solely focuses on myself, my significant other, (music artist Euro Gotit), and our children. As of now, my platforms (Youtube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram) has over collectively generated over 1 million followers in the past year and a half. Currently, I focus on continuing to build my brand as a content creator, a mother, family unit, actor, writer, director, and producer.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely has not been a smooth road. Creating content is a lot harder to make and takes longer than what consumers are able to watch once completed. You have to consistently be in a creative mindset, which is not always possible. Burnout is a real thing. You may have to evolve a few times as a creator until you find a niche that works for you as an individual and as a brand. I definitely work longer and harder than I did at a corporate job because my income comes from the amount of work I pump out. Like any other business, you will need to take your money to reinvest in yourself to expand your career, whether that’s classes, equipment, talent, costumes, etc.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an influencer and content creator that specializes in longer formed content such as episodes and mini-series. I am also a brand ambassador for fashion, beauty, and family products. I focus on family comedy and vlogs. I am proud of the fact that I am able to control my own destiny and also incorporate my family into my work. I believe the type of content that I have decided to focus on set me apart from others. I am able to create with my family and kids and incorporate my true self in my work.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite children hood memory is spending time at my grandmother’s house. I would love to go over and cook with her, hang clothes outside on the cloth lines, or go out for ice cream after school. She was such a loving person and always made sure you felt special and loved.
