Check Out Tony Tatum’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Tatum.

Hi Tony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I got started in the music business in 2005 as a background vocalist for R&B legend Keith Sweat. That lasted until 2011. Then in 2017 I started a entertainment business called Tatum Executive Group. My company currently provides live entertainment for major corporate events and weddings all across the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Creating and maintaining a successful business adventures are never easy. There are many benefits that come from doing great business like making great relationships with the right professionals and becoming financially stable. It also comes with many struggles like finding and hiring the right people that understand that being on time is important, dressing and presenting yourself as a professional is very important. It’s very difficult sometimes trying to groom some professionals that have their own idea and ways of doing things when you want things done the way you designed for your company. This is the everyday business life that you have to accept.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in performing live at major events and also providing professional entertainment for corporate events which is what I’m known for.

I’m most proud of building a business and platform that has given over hundreds of musical professionals opportunities to go out and use their gift on stage or behind the scenes and get paid for it.

What sets me apart is my mindset of being a stickler for being on time which means arrive early for every event. My belief is if you arrive early that sets the bar and shows your clients you care and you are willing to put your best foot forward to make their event priceless.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I feel is most important to my success is my humility approach when I’m working with others. Humility will take you a long way and help you gain more relationships in your personal and business life when you are easy to work with.
