Hi Vasili, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a fashion & editorial photographer based in ATL, NY, & FL. At first, I started photography as a creative outlet just shooting my friends, but alas, it has snowballed into something bigger.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been necessarily rocky, but it has not been smooth either. I think one of the biggest struggles for any creative is comparison – it’s the thief of joy!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in editorial & fashion photography, which is typically the type of work I am known for. My proudest moments photography wise, would be getting Vogue and Harpers Bazaar publications, and being able to photograph Miss USA 2022. I never thought that was even possible, but again, the snowball effect. I am also an actor, so any production I book, I get a little giddy. One of my films released on Amazon Prime and had its premiere at an AMC previously, so that was pretty cool.
What makes you happy?
A few things! Seeing others enjoy my work that I put out. I love meeting and making friends with other people in this industry – models, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, agents, managers, etc. I love seeing my photography published or on modeling agency websites.
