Community Highlights: Meet Abigail Keirs Rhee of Everbloom Mortgage and GGHC Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Keirs Rhee.

Abigail, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I spent 20 years in hospitality, working in operations and training with Starwood and Marriott. That time taught me how to manage people, systems, and pressure — and it gave me a love for continuous improvement. My foundation of discipline and resilience goes back even further to my time in the U.S. Army, where I learned what it means to lead, adapt quickly, and push beyond limits.

After leaving corporate life, I pivoted into finance and consulting. Today I work as a licensed mortgage broker with Everbloom Mortgage, run GGHC Consulting where I help small businesses streamline their operations, and serve as an Accounting Specialist with AMSA Consulting.

It hasn’t been a straight path — I’ve navigated motherhood, career transitions, and building businesses from the ground up. Along the way, I’ve also leaned into community, serving as Treasurer for Pacesetters Atlanta, a women’s business group founded in 1965. That role allows me to give back and stay connected with other women leaders who are building and leading with purpose.

Through all of it, I’ve learned that resilience and adaptability matter more than perfection. Whether I’m helping families with home financing, cleaning up a business’s books, or training on the jiu-jitsu mats, it’s all about creating order out of chaos, supporting others, and building systems that help people thrive.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In 2019, I was serving as Director of Finance at Hotel Clermont, and our opening year was incredibly successful. We had built real momentum and a strong team, and it felt like we were just hitting our stride.

Then COVID hit, and overnight the entire team was laid off. It was a shock to go from such a high point to a complete standstill. That experience forced me to pivot and reimagine my career, eventually steering me toward finance and consulting. At the time it felt devastating, but in hindsight it opened doors I might never have walked through otherwise.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Everbloom Mortgage and GGHC Consulting ?
Through Everbloom Mortgage, I help clients find the right financing solutions for their homes. What sets me apart is that I don’t just “close loans” — I take the time to educate and empower people during one of the biggest milestones of their lives.

With GGHC Consulting, I work with small business owners to streamline their financial systems and operations. I draw on my Six Sigma background and decades in hospitality to bring clarity where there was once chaos.

Across both brands, my focus is the same: creating order, transparency, and confidence so people feel supported and set up to thrive.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that resilience and adaptability matter more than perfection. Careers, industries, and even entire plans can change overnight — as I experienced when COVID shut down the hospitality world — but how you respond to change makes all the difference.

That lesson goes back to my time in the U.S. Army, where I learned quickly that plans rarely go exactly as expected, but discipline and adaptability carry you through. I’ve seen firsthand that clarity comes from action, not from waiting for the “perfect” moment. If you keep moving forward, even in small steps, opportunities will open up. That mindset has carried me through pivots in my career and given me the confidence to keep building, even when the road ahead wasn’t clear.
