Community Highlights: Meet Alexis Jewelle of Jewelle’s Luxury Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Jewelle.

Hi Alexis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am originally from Birmingham, AL. When I attended Alabama A&M University, I knew I needed a side hustle to get through college. I first started with hair extensions, graphic design, but it didn’t take too long to find my true passion… esthetics. Being an esthetician has been very rewarding & now that I own a spa in Huntsville, AL I can now put others in the position to grow their business and avoid mistakes I made down the line.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle was withdrawing from college to follow my dreams. It was the toughest decision I ever had to make but I didn’t regret it at all. Once I began to live for myself and not for others, God blessed me better than ever before. Getting the keys to my spa happened four months after withdrawing. I knew at that moment I did the right thing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Jewelle’s Luxury Esthetics is a black-owned spa dedicated to serving women and men high-quality customer service and skincare treatments. My business specializes in hair removal services and I also sell natural & effective intimate skincare for the P*SSY as I like to call it. My brand is different from the rest because of my personality & I show it all through every content post I make. Not the fake “everything is perfect” mess that a lot of business owners think they have to portrayal.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
