Today we’d like to introduce you to Ally Amore.
Hi Ally, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is rooted in my faith in Jesus – everything I do flows from that, especially how I show up for the people I photograph.
Before stepping fully behind the camera, I was a model. That experience taught me how to pose, how to find the light, and how to help people feel comfortable in front of a lens. I can pose anyone – but over time, I discovered that what I truly love isn’t perfectly styled moments. It’s the raw, in-between, authentic ones. Motherhood deepened that perspective even more. My world revolves around my 12-year-old son, and through him I’ve learned just how quickly moments pass. That’s what fuels my work – the desire to freeze feelings in time so they don’t slip away.
Over the years I’ve built a life and business that feels fully aligned with who I am.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
By far my greatest struggle has been balancing the desire to offer a premium, deeply personalized service with the reality of keeping the business financially sustainable—especially in today’s economy. Couples’ budgets are getting tighter, while business expenses continue to rise due to inflation. Most people don’t see what it takes behind the scenes. A professional wedding photographer has to invest in top-of-the-line equipment, secure storage, insurance, licensing, business taxes, editing software, website upkeep, and premium gallery and video delivery systems—just to name a few. Those aren’t “extras” – they’re essentials. It can feel like a constant tension between maintaining excellence and managing increasing costs. Even though it’s been one of my biggest challenges, I’ve remained committed to doing things the right way – investing in the proper tools, systems, and practices, and staying true to my values. I’m never the cheapest option anymore, but I prefer to keep providing the experience described in so many of my reviews.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

All editing is than done by Ally herself to maintain a cohesive look and feel across every image and video.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Hybrid photo + video offerings are already gaining momentum, and I believe that trend will continue. Couples increasingly want both mediums captured cohesively as a unified storytelling experience. I also think Instagram perfection is starting to be valued less and client experience becoming more important. Couples care about communication, transparency, reliability, and feeling supported throughout their entire journey. More are realizing reviews and everything behind the scenes holds more weight than just a strong visual portfolio.
